Scrapper duo, what should we expect? Also advice...
This combo, solo, is arguably one of the strongest AV soloers available to scrappers right now. With two of them, it'd likely require concerted effort from both of you guys to manage to fail at the task.
For epics, I'd go with Pyre or Mu for Fireball / Ball Lightning. Nothing should live long enough for endurance to be a concern.
Just wait until you both get shield charge... you can alternate opening on a spawn with soul drain>shield charge clear x8 missions stupid fast.
Probably the only AV you guys might struggle with is malaise.
I gotta make pain. I gotta make things right. I gotta stop what's comin'. 'Least I gotta try.
I might have to ask this in a separate thread but how is caltrops for scrappers? I like the thought of having 2 scrappers throw down caltrops on an AV, keeping a constant -hp going all the time? I haven't seen much talk about caltrops on the scrapper forums, so I think I may be missing something.
I am really thinking we might use both builds and build each one out differently. One with Pyre or Mu for x8 missions and another for AV fights.
I seriously doubt caltrops would be worth it for the dps, but then I've never measured it's dps. Maybe someone else has measured it's offensive use.
I used caltrops defensively on one regen build, past tense, for rain dancer type control. Running mobs aren't fighting mobs, and that buys you time to do other things. If you're SD with a taunt, the running mobs part may not work.
TW/Elec Optimization
My buddy and I are rolling 2 Dark Melee/Shield scrappers, and I am hoping to be able to use this duo as an AV hunting tandem. Do you think this will be a possibility? What kind of other uses should we expect to be able to run with this duo? And finally, what epic pools would you recommend for this duo?
So far we are at level 15 and are pretty happy with how it's going. I am looking forward to when we can take advantage of Phalanx Fighting and Grant Cover to boost our defenses. Any other advice is appreciated. Thanks.
