Customizing shield problem

A returning player, here.

Anyway, I tried to customize my shield. I am able to add an emblem and can select a background color for the face of the shield. But when I choose a background design in a different color, like red Tierce on a blue cavalier shield, that design does not appear. (In other words, the background color stays the same.) I've scrolled through all the different designs, and none of them work (even though I am able to select them).

Real bummer for my (future) shield toons.

I've bugged this, but I'm hoping someone has an answer (or at least, it's been an identified bug). Any advice?

What are your graphics settings? I think I read recently that there's a bug with shield emblems not showing up if your settings are below a certain threshold.

My graphic settings are right in the middle of the slider (my rig can't handle the upper end or Ultra, for example). I'm thinking that should be enough, however.

Emblems do appear, just not the Shield background.

Bummer.

gWraith, I experience the same things.
I prefer to run at "Performance" settings and do not obtain designs.
By turning up the graphics, I do get designs/backgrounds.

I believe it is something to do with the reflections, as when I turn up the graphics the only thing I gain is slightly more graphic detail and some reflections (metal looks shiny, etc.)
Like Chad said - it is probably a bug (that needs to be fixed.)

It's a bug that I reported in the I17 Closed Beta, when we got to play with the then new Ultra Mode stuff.

Hey guys (or nugget =), thanks for confirming it's a bug.

I thought there was something wrong with my rig (besides not being able to handle high end graphics/Ultra). Cuz when shields first came out, I distinctly remember being able to change the shield design.

So, I'll (unhappily) wait for the fix....
