Accolade powers and switching sides

I haven't quite found a clear answer for this yet.

If I get something like The Atlas Medallion, then switch to red side.... It becomes Atlas shrugged. The text implies that I lose the power. Its just that some are easier to get red side or blue side, id be nice to cherry pick.

But that doesn't work does it?

It does work, though cherry picking requires side switching, with its built in time sink.

Essentailly all your accolades will give you the alt version. eg force of nature grants geas of the kind one etc.
see the paragon wiki page eg http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Born_in_Battle_Badge page for them, and you'll see "Alternate Method: Obtain the following badge as a hero or vigilante before changing alignment to that of a villain."

IIRC you still have the alt version listed in your powers, but unuseable.
