Sorry, I just facepalmed so hard that it caused a slight case of serious brain damage.
TCS: Using his evil posting powers to induce self-inflicted brain damage in others since, uh, i can't remember anymore.

...That said, I for one appreciate that the devs split most temporary powers off from, especially, travel temps. It feels good being able to use my Ninja Run in the trials since I basically paid for it. :P
Alignment powers are available. I use mine all the time in the trials.

Uber Talgrim - level 50 emp/dark defender
Uber Rod - level 50 dark melee/regen scrapper
Rod Valdr - level 50 invuln/SS tanker
Talgrim - level 50 ninja/dark mastermind

OMG!! Please add these costume designs now!

IT's "shouldn't" in the sense of he was guessing rather than making a judgment

Actually, it's moreso "shouldn't be disabled" assuming Mids' has the proper ModesProhibited flags set on all its temporary powers, and if it is set right, my list should be quite accurate.

Where's the Cheetos? Where's the Mountain Dew?

Holy crap that made me laugh xD

I assumed Ninja Run/Beast Run/Jump Pack were available due to the significant number of people who use them as their sole travel powers. They don't unbalance the trials and removing them would just make a lot of people upset that they need to respec or build/IO a second build just to include a travel power.

But why is the rum, I mean Dew, gone?

Sometimes you get the bear; sometimes he get you, rips your head off, sucks out your eyes, pulls out your spleen, humps your leg and pees in your boots

I'm confused, what was the point?

"A slight case of severe brain damage" is a Portal 2 quote, though the game is probably still too new for the memes to propagate. Sorry, I know it's not important, but I just wanted to try and ruin the joke. It's what I do.

Not like there's a point to posting on topic, other than to say that I don't regret putting The Coming Storm on ignore. If I'd known this was his thread, I wouldn't have even looked, but I have the bad habit of not looking at thread starters before I load a page.

I get by perfectly fine with my origin pack I bought and the mutant pack. I bought the architect edition on sale at a store for 7 bucks. I then upgraded to the no frills edition of going rogue.

Then the origigen pack was on sale for 6.99 so I bought it. The magic pack wasincluded in my Archtect edition and I wanted the mutant pack.

Overall I saved money.

I don't need Ninja Run...no one needs Ninja Run.

I win a lot and I don't usually buy stuff unless I really want something, and while ninjas are awesome in their own way, it never appealed to me.

I don't understand this thread.

You'd think being able to use Secondary Mutation on trials would be more rage-worthy than the ability to run a bit faster than normal.

The big part is jump higher as those without travel powers or those with only super speed cannot get up the walls to take out the cannons in the lambda trials. My personal feeling is wahh, you should have taken a travel power but Im an uncaring jerk who is just fine with all temps being disabled on iTrials.

Umm, no.

Ninja Run is classified as an Inherent power, not a temp power. The origin temps actually are temp powers. Look at which heading they fall under in your powers window.

If they disallowed Ninja Run, they would also have to disallow: Sprint, Rest, Brawl, etc.

So, for the purposes of the trials, inherent powers are okay, temp powers are not. Which makes sense. I can't imagine Ninja Run would give the same kind of combat advantage as a Warburg nuke or Vanguard heavy.

I've seen pay-to-win. Silly Run is not pay-to-win.

"Wow. That was a close call on the Lambda Trial, eh?"

"Good thing that guy busted out Ninja Run."

Really? *sigh*

I guess I suspected that so I never tried it. I also didn't want to accidentally still be in my SG base when the leader put us in the queue. Still... a disappointing revelation.

Do the Safeguard/Mayhem temps work? I didn't have an active one going into the trials so I'm not sure. I really, really missed my raptor pack for the guns in Lambda but I eventually got the hang of teleporting from gun to gun without overshooting (it takes me 2 ports each except at the corners).

I try to use up all of my "extra salvage" every time I log in or it get full by getting as many empowerments as I have the salvage for. I track some of my stats in a little window. I used a grant invisibility one. and the little power indicators icons. It all went away when I zoned in to the trial.

I don't know if I have any left to test with.

There's a Sky Raider Flight pack available via an Ouroboros mission that works. I began using that one back before we could buy them. I still use them because the arc isn't that long and you get a few merits besides. Now that it's known that they work where others won't I suspect Chalmers will be getting a lot more visitors.

Once this is common knowledge, I guess there'll be no more joking with people that they need to adjust the flux capacitors on their flight packs so they will work in iTrials like mine.

Exactly. Besides, Ninja Run/Beast Run aren't even as fast as the real Travel Powers, and in the case of Flight which you can approach by using Ninja Run/Beast Run + Sprint, Flight still has the total freedom of movement advantage.

...And that's exactly what it is: Silly Run.

I know people dont care how stupid their 8' tall Broadsword Scrapper wearing the high-collar Magic cloak looks waiting for a TF to begin, as he stands there in Sillyninja stance; but I can't help but think how, well.... stupid he looks.

This also applies to the Beast run. Yeah. Retarded on non-animal players, or I guess people just don't care... but I don't get and never will get, how these two things are seen as Pure Awesomesauce + 1 bag of Doritos chips in your choice of flavor. I used Sillyninja one time to join friends on the opposite side of the Hollows as a level eight. That was it. Luckily no one but the usual +8 Hollows Death Mage Conventioneers saw me. Whew. 'Cause I was lookin' stupid.

Honestly, I'd like the "Scared Run" that NPCs do when they see a robber in Atlas.
