I'm planning on taking my main redside briefly to pick up a patron pool this week. The build I'm currently thinking of is posted below, any thoughts or comments are appreciated.

Helps if you include the data chunk.

Thought I could build that into the builder and help out when I realized I'm not familiar enough with the Invention sets to read the abbreviations.

Let me direct you to my Katana/Inv guide (link in sig)

As a general piece of advice, I'd rather go for constant Defense and +Recharge rather than +HP/+End and +Rech. Constant +Def helps with staying alive, it also lets you pick Body Mastery instead of Soul Mastery for better Endurance management making +End bonuses less useful, and +HP is quite useless anyway because you should be trying to make Dull Pain perma.

Other things I'd note:

1) Slotting Stamina is paramount as is getting the +Recovery uniques into health.

2) Point one brings me to set choices, Obliteration is kind of bad because neither of your powersets come with Endurance management powers and Obliteration has very little in the name of EndRedux. Go for a combination of Eradication/Scirocco (+regen, +E/NE Def, +end), Eradication/Cleaving Blow (+end, +recovery, +E/NE Def) or Cleaving Blow/Scirocco (+regen, +recovery, +E/NE Def).

3) Slot Parry with Accuracy. If it doesn't hit it won't do a thing for you.

4) Move Armageddon into Head Splitter and Hecatomb into Hack. This way you'll get the most out of the procs. The Armageddon proc is nice in Whirling Sword, but ST damage is where it's at in Sword builds. Also as a general note, skip the pure Damage IO from purple sets. It does very little.

5) Drop Unstoppable. With a good build you should need it very, very rarely so getting Demonic Aura/Eye of the Magus should cut it. At least that does the job for me.

6) You should fully slot your Resistance toggles for Resistance. Same goes for Defensive toggles.

Do you absolutely have to have Soul Mastery? I think for Invulnerability, if you're going to pump in this kind of Inf for the build it would be better to just have softcapped Defenses as a constant, rather than spike.

The Smashing/Lethal Resist is low. It really should be at around 70%. That's one of the best things about the set - having that much Resist to a common damage type.

I don't have much time right now on the computer, or I could make a build for you. Depending on your answer to the first question, that is.

Having the patron pet is really not worth it. Unless we finally get access to Gloom, the blasts we get from APP/PPP aren't good enough to be using in a regular attack chain. Especially since with Broadsword you will get weapon redraw. It does look like from the IOs you've placed in your original build that you do care about performance, so that is why I've recommended not going with Soul Mastery.

If you want to reduce cost for the build you can replace the Gladiators with Makos and the Panaceas with Doctored Wounds. I would suggest going for the Spiritual Recharge/Heal Alpha boost along with this build:

Hmm, I believe I will use a build from DSorrow's guide. It's close to the build I have in effect now on the live servers, but taking out the travel powers and hasten allows it to be more effective, and the slotting is different. I was going redside for the fun of a pet. However, the guide allowed me to refine my build and remove the weaknesses. It's too good to pass up. Thanks for the help.

If you preview your post with the build in it, it breaks the link.

Glad I could help. Just note that some of the builds (I think two or three) are a bit outdated in that they don't have inherent Fitness. Anyways, they should provide some slotting ideas even if you don't want to follow them exactly.
