Claws, anyone?

I apologize for the first post - I will just stick to English from now on:

Anyways, I'm new to these forums, and I had a question - does anyone have a suggestion on how to go about building a Claws/Super Reflexes brute?

Any suggestions you can give would be great - only request is non-abbreviated (or explain what the abbreviations are) if it's slang for these forums/MMOs in general - this is my first MMO, and I am still getting used to the language some of you folks are using on here! )

Oh, and should I take Swipe or Strike for my first power? My inclination is to take Swipe first so I can have the quicker recharge, but I know that any power can get reduced enough to remove that little issue.

Thanks

I'm not sure on the swipe/strike problem. Just look at the detailed info and pick whichever one has higher DPA. I think that's Strike.

With Super Reflexes you're gonna want to take every single power and slot them for nothing but defense in the passive powers and defense/endurance reduction in the toggles. The only power in SR that you don't really need is the final power, Elude.

With Claws you're gonna want Strike, Slash, Spin, Focus and Eviscerate at least. Some people don't like Shockwave, but I love it. Not sure how much Follow Up helps a Brute so maybe someone else can inform you better on that power.

Hi, welcome to the game, and the forums. This was my first MMO as well. Unfortunately I didn't even know what the forums were until after I had already been playing for close to a year.

As far as you character, while I can't remember which attack comes first, swipe or strike, I can say that in the case of claws, most folks choose the second option for there starting power. Claws has a faster recharge time than the other sets.

Also, may want to look into something called Mids if you haven't yet.
It is the preferred build planner.

Willpower has more passive regen than Regen does. Who thought that was a good idea?

Can we get a fix for Energy Melee instead of more new sets?

This is what I'm runnning at present. Getting around 180dps on pylons. For a unique Brute poweset I'd be more inclined to go WM/SD. Claws/SR is better on Scraps due to base dmg.
