Unable to Zoom with Scroll Wheel

Yeah I have a Microsoft mouse too, and it has the same problem. Microsoft uses different values than everybody else, for the codes they send for mouse wheel scrolling, so their mice often don't work as well as you'd expect.
Just use the keyboard buttons Home and End for zoom, it's what I do.
check that your keybinds include MOUSEWHEEL "+camdistadjust"

I haven't used the forums much since their redesign, and I apparently can't find a tech support section anywhere, so this question is going here. I just got a new mouse, with a working scroll wheel that will let me scroll web pages, text documents, even windows in CoH, but it refuses to let me zoom in and out with it. I cannot find any option in game to fix this, and if I plug in my other mouse it spontaneously lets me zoom again.
So this non-zooming mouse was useless to me, and I swapped it out for a completely different brand and style of mouse: some Microsoft ARC somethin-or-other. Get this: same exact problem, same exact behavior. Now I start feeling like maybe it's an issue related to my computer but no matter what I try or what settings I change on the mouse, both in the standard Windows Vista control panel and in game, I cannot get it to let me zoom. Irritatingly every other effect of the scroll wheel works fine, even "Third Mouse Button" functionality, not that I need it for anything. I do not want to use keyboard keys to zoom, I am far too used to the convinience of a mouse wheel for that function, but I am also trying to upgrade to a new mouse and so far haven't had any luck. Anyone else have this problem or have an idea how I can get these mice to start behaving?
