Updating Intel Chipset driver

As far as I can remember, when i19/Going Rogue went live, down at the bottom of the login screen, in pretty red letters, I am told that my gfx driver is out of date. I went to Intel's website and tried to correct the issue. Following the directions the conclusion by the site was that I needed to contact the manufacturer for the driver. I followed the link. I downloaded and installed what I thought was the driver. But still the pretty red letters persist. And within the last week, the game has crashed several times due to an out of date driver. 3 times this has happened today.

I have already run the updater for the gfx card and processor in the device manager and it says that they are up to date.

On this laptop I have to run at minimal gfx most of the time, (especially when teaming) otherwise the lag is too great and I have to /reloadgfx and or quit because I can barely move. Solo I can bump up the gfx a bit and run ok till it crashes.

I am by no means tech savvy and think that I have exceeded my daring knowledge on how to fix this issue. So I come here for help on the matter. My specs are -
1. Dell, Inspiron 1545 Laptop
2. Windows Vista Home Premium, 32 bit
3. Processor - Intel Premium Dual Cpu T3400 2.16 GHz 2.16 GHz
4. 3.00 Ram
5. Display Adapter - Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family

Not sure if there is anything else spec wise that I need to include here, but if there is let me know.

Thanks for any and all help.

A few pages down I saw someone suffering this same/similar issue with me and was directed to the tech forum. I was looking for that but didn't see it and didn't know that it was in the development side. I will repost there.

If you aren't having issues, don't upgrade your drivers. That may sound bad, but graphics card drivers tend to be released with more system-loading "features" than bug fixes. I'm not saying you should let your graphics drivers be a year out of date. Just wait on updates and read forums to make sure the drivers are going to give you a performance boost and not introduce new bugs. Be picky about which version of drivers you use, too. Make sure it is one that has been tested by others.

I am having issues. Crashed 3 times yesterday due to a (this is what the error message says) "3rd party DLL or device driver (specifically ig4dev32.dll). Additionally, it has been detected that your computer is using older video card drivers that may known issues with City of Heroes. Updating your video card drivers will likely increase the stability of City of Heroes".

I have received this crash several times and not just yesterday. But I never paid attention to it until the 3rd crash yesterday (I was cane farming and didn't want to be bothered. 500 canes is a lot to get!)
