No missions/contacts after Kalinda

Hi all,

First of all I am new to this game and MMO's in general but have really been enjoying this game with a few of my friends!

I have just reached level 9 and finished doing all of Kalinda's missions and recall her saying something about speaking to Mongoose, though no task was set for this and nothing displayed on my map. I have found Mongoose in the game, as a friend is at a similar stage to me and has been introduced via Kalinda etc.... so has shown me where to find him.

Mongoose says "You want to talk to me, you best talk to Kalinda first...", but when speaking to Kalinda she just says to come back at level 20 with no further options.

I have completed all the tasks in my missions and dont have anything outstanding. I am now really stuck as I have nothing else available and as far as I have found out (from Google) Mongoose introduces you to the next batch of contacts.

I there anything I have missed or does anyone have any ideas??

You've out-leveled the content head to Port Oakes and talk to whoever shows up on your nav.
This is the beginning of your paper missions which after you complete 3 you'll get access to a mayhem mission which will unlock a list of contacts. GL

Thanks, that seems to have worked!! I didnt even know I could get off the first island! :-)

If you're still reading this...

1. Turn off XP.

2. Do three Newspaper missions (talk to your broker first).

3. Do the Atlas Park mayhem mission (after the three newspaper missions) and get a Jet Pack. It's cool to fly.

4. You have to do this before level 10, or you get a Zero-G pack. Which is still cool, but getting both is better. I recommend you blow out of Mercy at level 5 or 6, and start on the Jet Pack right away so you don't have to turn off XP.


Alternately, you could find someone lower level to team with and get the Jet Pack too when their mission comes up, this is just how to get it on your own.
