Program Files Vs. Program Files x86

I'm sure this has been addressed before, but we all know how bad the search feature works, so...

I just bought a new computer running Windows 7 64 bit. I reinstalled CoX in the Program Files Folder (supposedly the 64 bit folder) rather than the Program Files x86 folder (the 32 bit folder). Does it matter, and if so, is it in the correct folder or not?

Also, I have a quad core system now. Is there anything special I need to do to make CoX run better, or does it matter? Thanks in advance.

Program Files - 64 Bit Applications
Program Files x86 - 32 Bit applications

But to be honest, it doesn;t matter where you install programs. Either folder will work fine. The 2 folders just allows you to keep the 32 bit and the 64 bit programs seperate.

Doesn't matter which folder you install to. As far as multi-core CPUs go, you can use the "-renderthread 1" flag on the CoH shortcut, though you don't really gain much from doing so.

Well the game has had multicore support on for quite a while now, which is why the "-renderthread 1" doesn't seem to do anything anymore.
