5% damage, or 6.25% recharge
Without looking at the builds, I'd say that 5% more damage is the better way to go.
The way the math works, the more recharge you add, the less it really does for you. Damage bonuses don't work that way. Considering that you already have the abilities permanent that you want, 6.25% of recharge is unlikely to affect anything.

6.25% recharge you are unlikely to even notice at the level of recharge you have. Damage on the other hand you can never have enough of.
yeah, i was thinking the same thing, just had a brainstorm idea while running errands and thought 'hey, moar recharge!' then realize what i had to give up, and figured my original design was probably the better idea.
Hope ya got a pocket emp with 0% defense bonuses on that build.
Defense builds are the new FOTM.. I think its going to be very funny wjen the devs react by making a whole lot more -defense based attacks and critters.

My general idea, is just pure death. It works pretty well on my fire/fire/fire blaster, without a very slotted epic resistance shield. +31% damage (with assault) plus AoE stun every 22 seconds, plus over 450 raw single target DPS rotating fire blast, incin, blaze, plus enough AOE to decimate most any group, and enough recharge to perma hold AVs through the purple triangles, so im thinking ill manage.
Even if you are the best dom in the game, it doesn't mean you will not get attacked, it will be alot more often than you would think(pending on situation), and alot more noticeable when you have 0% defense and an unslotted patron shield.

Depending. Mind/psi with said zero defense and an unslotted shield can go an entire mission being untouched. But having three aggroless powers helps. A Fire/fire/fire is a bit squishier, but the damage is there. It's close to being a fire blaster that just so happens to have an AoE hold, and AoE stun, and hold that can lockdown bosses in one hit.

OP: While I agree with the general rule of thumb that once you have all the recharge you need, damage bonuses are more valuable, for this build I think it's much closer to a toss up. I would actually go with recharge. It may come in handy against heavy -recharge enemies (particularly if you're like me and get so consumed in attacking and mezzing that you might forget to reactivate hasten long enough for Domination to drop). Also, all of your attacks are shorted recharge besides Incinerate.
Honestly though you are so well built for both damage and recharge, it's kind of a wash.

To the OP: once you have domination and hasten up as you need, the only reason to go for more recharge is if you reeeeaaaly still want certain powers up "right now!" Even at that, the extra tiny bit of recharge won't do that much. As a fire/fire fire, offense is your friend. Killing stuff before it un-stuns seems a big priority. I'd go for the damage route myself.
Yeah, again, im leaning towards the damage bonus. Even if i'm debuffed, domination is still perma down to about -80% recharge debuff.. (its perma without hasten, and hasten adds 70%) my attack chain is pretty flawless at that high recharge, so adding a few half seconds to my attacks probably won't matter as much as the damage bonus.
Hope ya got a pocket emp with 0% defense bonuses on that build.

eh, i'dtake that emp over a FF personally. Your assuming emps just heal, when really, 4 (rather 5) of their powers are buffs. Fortitude means more damage, and more acc (in addition to defense, which when power boosted, is near FF levels) plus unlimited recovery and regeneration from RAs, and more recharge (plus more regen/recovery) from AB.. and CM to add more mez protection.

To the OP I would put in the 5% damage, but I'd still looking at getting more defense/resistance, it will help.

Basically the different is between 5% damage, and 6.25% global recharge. The build is already perma dom, and perma hasten (even without the extra recharge) so im just wondering if the damage, or the recharge is more valuable on a already high recharge build.
