Question about IO sets
The bonuses accumulate.
I'm guessing this isn't the same Mr. Liberty I used to duo Positron tfs with, who used an extremely purple fire/mental blaster to finish mission objectives by the time I'd zone into the mission.
Global = Hedgefund (or some derivation thereof)
You would get one instance of each set bonus up to the number of enhancements of that set you have slotted in a power.
So in this case you would get a 2.2% reduction in sleep duration, an increase in health of 1.5% and the 2% debt protection.
Note this is total for that power.
There's one hiccup in that you're limited to 5 instances of the exact same buff (aka, the exact same power wording).
So if you already had 5 "2.2% sleep duration reduction" set bonuses across all of your powers, adding a 6th will have no effect. However if you had 5 "2.2% sleep duration reduction" bonuses and you get another set that has a "2.5% sleep duration reduction" bonus, all 6 will be counted. It's called The Law Of Fives.

No. My Mister Liberty is a lvl 41 WP/SS tank in Protector.
I've had him for about 3 years but haven't played the game for about 2-1/2 years. Just getting back into it and am trying to figure out everything I've missed.
Thanks for the response!
My original main toon was Liberty Machine in Protector...in case anyone knows that toon. I used to play him constantly. He was a great tank.

I'm an illustrator/graphic designer and have a poor mathematical mind. That's why I easily get intimidated and/or bored when trying to figure out enhancement slotting.
If I could have the perfect (if there is such a thing) WP/SS tank build I would just follow it to the tee.

From Frost's link to the wiki:
Castle further elaborated on the rule of five in I13 Closed Beta saying that the exclusion of more than five of the same bonuses is based on the name of the bonus and not its value. For example, a character can benefit from up to five global benefits of Luck of the Gambler: Defense/Increased Recharge Speed, which gives a global +7.5% bonus to Recharge Rate, as well as up to five set bonuses of +7.5% Recharge. That's because the first bonus is named "Luck of the Gambler: Recharge Speed" while the second is "Huge Recharge Bonus". One can find the names of the bonuses listed in the Combat Attributes window. |
Dr. Todt's theme.
i make stuff...
Nice! Once I have the millions and millions it takes to acquire those sets, I most certainly will do so.
I'm a little wiser in slotting now.

I apologize in advance if there is a similar thread on here. I looked through 8 or 9 pages and didn't find any answers so I went ahead and made this.
Okay...for example, when a set like Impervious Skin gives these advantages when slotting them:
- Two enhancements reduces the duration of Sleep effects on you by 2.2%.
- Three enhancements increases maximum Health by 1.5%.
- Four enhancements grants 2% debt protection.
- Five enhancements improves the Recharge of all your powers by 5%.
Does that mean that if I slot three of them that I get just the maximum of 2% debt reduction or do I also get the previous two? (2.2% sleep reduction and 1.5% toward health)I hope that makes sense.
Thanks!
