XD funny but not Quite what I was going for, heh I meant like a slash of energy, not a stab, but yes people will probably try to make all sorts of copyrighted characters with the new power, but they will get nerfed ^^

Making Broad Sword "slower and heavier" makes it into Battle Axe, for the most part. If Parry can be dealt with on its own, and the rest of the set remained the same, it would be a nice "faster and lighter" set, instead. Not everyone likes waiting forever for their powers to recharge like Axe.

(I've played axe and sword, and I prefer axe, for the record, but if you ask me, not everything needs to be made slow-and-heavy for tankers.)

I like this idea, if only because it would make a broadsword port for Brutes more sensical. And when Brutes get swords, this happens. Skip to about 3:30, until then he's only building up his fury bar and it's kinda boring.

With a Broad Sword Scrapper, you too can achieve this.

I would love to see Broad Sword Tankers. I have a Broadsword/Shield Scrapper but wish he was a Tanker instead (just can't get into Scrappers).

Although Parry would be overpowered as a direct port why not just lower the base Defence it grants and increase its recharge so it is harder to stack and keep stacked?

I have one - my level 50 BS/Shield scrapper Zenith Fighter X. Thematically, though, Gutts is SUCH a Brute.

there should be katana tankers too, BS and katana are very similar, plus we have all sorts of medieval Knights armor costume pieces.

and lets face it a knight on foot is famous for wielding a Sword and shield, and they are all power and very tanker-like, to call a knight a scrapper is like calling a ninja a slow moving object, it's just the opposite of what it is.

You know... if Broad Sword and Katana ever get ported to Brutes and Tanks... two things must happen.

Scrappers and Stalkers must get to play with Axes and Maces.

And Axes will need to get looked at by the devs to bring it up to par, I think... 'cause Broad Sword and Katana will blow it away, as is, regardless of what they do to Parry.

Scrappers with maces and axes? Why the hell not?

And axe stalkers sound like they could result in some characters that are gloriously creepy.

Yes and yes. As of right now, there is no conceptual reason for Scrappers and, indeed, Stalkers, to not have axe and mace, other than that powerset proliferation is and has always been the lowest priority imaginable. Well, OK, probably higher priority than fixing text typos.

As mentiones, a Stalker with an axe would be just seven kinds of cool and creepy, especially if you have the right costume (when are we getting hockey masks?). A Stalker with a Mace may seem odd, granted, but I'd look at it in the same light as a thug with a black jack.

Just use some weapon customization there and it fits in right along with the axes: Baseball bat, shovel, wrench, and giant bone are all great blunt objects to sneak up and whack people with.

Stalker with a sword give you a nice tame little stabby stabby. Ohh its a sword - yeah I can deal with that.

Stalker with an axe.... "Im going to bury this thing so far into your head it will come out your [footer section]".
That also give a nice long animation time for Assasin Chop (tm). Big wind up of axe starting in two hands, swinging down behind you then up and over and THOCK!!!!. "Ohhh look - he split him in twain" (additional death affect required - if Assasin Chop deals over 100% of the foes max HP the foe actually falls apart in 2 pieces). Stalker giggles (chuckels?) in glee and goes hide for his/her next victim.

Sorry but Axe's just have way more OHHH S**T factor with Stalkers.

Sure, but can we do first or together give the same set to the brute.

Lets face it, the sword and board is a very offensive set, and the brute is more offensive oriented than the tank and would work better.

Broadsword Brute: Again, we've been over this. Legacy Broadsword is even suitably enormous to make a character like Gutts.

Katana Brute: See reasoning behind Katana Tanker. Same character concept can also be a Brute.
