How good is a GTX480 with this game?

I'm currently running a GTX280 at 1920x1080 for this game (on a QuadCore Q9450 processor at 3.2GHz).

What kind of bump in performance, if any, will I see if I run a GTX480 instead? Can anyone who runs one of those beasties relay their experience with it?

Thanks in advance.

I have the EVGA 480GTX SC running with a Phenom II X4 3.0GHz and 5G ram.
The optimal settings for performance and shiny are mostly maxed out. FSAA at 8x, Shadow Quality at High and Occlusion strength at Strong. If I go above any of those settings it has a major hit on fps.

The fan is louder then heck and it does run very hot (~97C) under max load. But it never gives up

Keep in mind, if you get an EVGA you cant run the evga precision tool and change settings in game at the same time, it will lock up the game.

Yes it is pricey, hot, loud and a behemoth in my case but I don't regret it at all.

*running 2 monitors both 1920 x 1080 but running game in windowed mode: Win7 Aero stuff

*Gaming monitor: Samsung 24" LED, game looks awesome!

Here's all the stuff anyway: (with this rig I usually get around 35-40fps outside and 50+ inside, Hami raids I drop to around 15 or so but never slide show anymore )

I don't know why I ask these questions. In the end, I never can keep myself from buying new toys. Thanks Vorac. for helping me spend yet another $500....

Follow up question:
If I take an old 8800 GT and make it a 2nd video card in the PC getting the GTX 480, will it do much for performance if I dedicate that card to physics or will it actually be worse than letting the 480 do all the work?

In this game it'll do nothing since the implementation of PhysX in CoH/V/GR doesn't recognize nVidia's GPU implementation.

Heh! It is en route from Newegg already.

I'll bang something out once I get it all setup.
