Defeat 10 fir bolg mission only counting the first 3 kills then no more, any insite to this problem would be very helpful. If this has already been solved or has a thread please direct me to it, I would be most appreciated....

Make sure it is not requiring a specific nieghborhood - if it does the firbolg must be defeated in that area (where they spawn doesn't matter)

Orc&Pie No.53230 There is an orc, and somehow, he got a pie. And you are hungry.

Negaduck: I see you found the crumb. I knew you'd never notice the huge flag.

if you are talking about the mission in croatoa, you have to make sure you are in the right section of the zone. it has to be the one that is stated in the mission description.

Thanks guys much appreciated, got it now...

If you need to, you can run up to a group that is just outside of the area, hit them with brawl (or some other minor attack) and get them to follow you into the right spot, then nail them.

Yes, that one has to be in the Misty Woods (southeast corner of the zone) - a region where Fir Bolg are quite rare, unlike the southwestern woods where they don't count. :/

Actually I swear that in two of those Misty Woods missions (hunt Fir Bolg/hunt Redcaps) the game deliberately spawns the opposite of what you need. While hunting the Fir Bolg all you can find is Redcaps. Then finally defeat the Fir Bolg you need and take the hunt Red Caps mission. Suddenly every Redcap spawn point is filled with Fir Bolg.

However I'm pretty sure that the mission the OP was talking about was the Gordon Bower push back the Fir Bolg mission. The real pain in the rear hunts don't come until Kelly Nemmers in the Misty Woods.

Last weekend my wife and I were doing the Defeat Tuatha in Misty Woods (from Nemmers). They are straight in front of her so we ran over and killed some... no credit. Put my nav point on the Misty Woods marker, which was very close, and ran over there where some tuatha were standing almost directly on it and killed those... no credit.

We finally found a spot where we could get credit for them (about 100 yards closer to Nemmers and slightly toward the university side) and drew them all to that spot to finish the mission.

That mission is seriously bugged or the markers are not in the right place. Personally I think it is centered on her, not where it currently is.

We didn't have any trouble with the fir bolgs but they were on the opposite side of the pond. Red Caps I always have to pull from around Buck into the Misty Woods area. I rarely see them where I need them... at least not while I have the mission.

Edit: Definitely agree that Nemmer's hunts cause the opposite to spawn LOL

I'm convinced this is the case as well. As long as you are the only one in the area, the spawns are dependent on your own status. They can go up in lvl, be slightly bigger or contain a Boss, or a Void/Quantum depending on the status of you and your team. I'm inclined to also believe that when you have a hunt mission selected, you are less likely to get that faction as a spawn. I wonder if selecting a different mission as the Active Task would help. haha

This similar scenario used to happen about every time I brought a new character into The Hollows. When I needed Trolls, there were Outcasts everywhere. When I needed Outcasts, it's nothing but Trolls! lol
