Useful Salvage warning is nice, but annoying. A perhaps better option...

Instead of having the salvage interface include every recipe on you in the list of reasons for you to keep salvage, a better idea is to have a checkbox for each recipe in the Recipe window for "Intend to Craft." Then, if you try to delete or sell salvage, only salvage used for recipes marked as such would trigger the Useful Salvage window. The window would also have a new button: "Save what I need." This button would then delete, sell, or store all the salvage in that stack except what you'd need to craft your recipes. It would make the system a lot easier to use, I think.

Or just have the ability to turn it off work.

That would have the exact opposite effect that the useful salvage warning is meant for and that this suggestion would help achieve.

Just saying before they start improving things, they should make the system work the way it is supposed to. Personally I don't want to see the warning pop up every time I try to sell something so I put my setting to hide the warning. Yet the first time I try and sell something after I zone it popps up again.

Edit to add:that being said I do like the idea.

To my mind, though I like this idea, I'd prefer to see them address Memorized recipes in a more comprehensive fashion, considering all the other issues that they bring up. Always having to set filters when I craft, and/or close out the memorized stuff when I sell, gets really tiresome.

Rebuild the recipe and salvage interfaces like the Merit and Ticket Vendors. Add a level slider, subsections on the left side for Basic IOs, Memorized IOs, Temp Powers, Costume parts, and Invention IOs, with submenus within that.

From there, create a separate Useful Salvage filter for each section. Don't care about Memorized or Temp Powers? Turn those off, leave on the stuff that's important to you.

For salvage, Break out the sections and/or rarity, and create level based filters as well. Nothing bothers me more than doing a lower level TF, getting a bunch of salvage and recipes out of my normal level range, and having to hunt and peck to pull them out of my pool of stuff.

PS- working window memory would be awesome too. Let me set up my default display and save it like I can save chat windows.

This. I like Vanden's idea, but until something like that is in place I'd like to be able to permanently stop the current pop-up from ever popping up again.

I am all for an option to kill the useful Salvage prompt with fire, never to be seen again.

It would be one thing if the "hide Useful salvage" prompt worked for longer than thirty seconds.... which it seems not to. This prompt is by far the most annoying thing that has been added to the game for many a long day.
