Undercover Missions and Changing Story Arcs in Praetoria

I've been a little confused with how you go "undercover" in Praetoria. I recall Marchand and Scott mentioning it, and I see the option pop up periodically to tell about a plot in progress to the other side. However, I've never figured out how to go undercover... did I select a wrong option with Marchand or Scott on my existing characters? Or is there some other way to go undercover?

Also... I have a Blaster at 14 who has run through all his Warden contacts, and seems to be only able to run Crusader contacts now. Is there a way to get him going on some undercover Loyalist missions at that point? Or heck, even Loyalist? This guy is a former PPD officer and he's been asked to "collect" some PPD officers for a herd of ghouls this resistance guy has gathered... and he's going to use them for food (not sure why a steak won't work, but whatever). I personally find it repugnant, but my character would definitely be against it, too. So I'm wondering what his options are at this point.

I know he could probably join a team to make it to 15 and get a new set of contacts, but I've been playing this guy at haphazard times when teaming isn't always the easiest for him. And I am wondering about what options there are that I may be missing with how I've been running.

Hmmm. Is it as simple as running up to the appropriate contact for that group, or is there a more "official" way of doing this?

You can start one of the arcs from the other side, you need to talk to Washington. He's not introduced to you, but will talk to you.

Yeah, as far as I can tell, it just involves going to the other side's (level appropriate) contacts. But it's not quite obvious, as they don't really set you up with anyone automatically, so you either have to look up where they are on the forums/paragon wiki, or search 'em out on your own.

That's kind of unfortunate. I assumed there was some way to do this, especially since your starting contact specifically mentions being able to go undercover. Marchand or Scott should suggest doing something to get the other side's attention, or something. It's not clear as is.

Another way to do undercover work is on one of your morality choices, you pick the opposing faction and run their arcs. Periodically, they'll offer you the option to call to report in. If you do it this way, you'll get introduced to contacts normally.

Yes, this would work as the pop-up text does mention that your ability to report in is based off your original faction choice.

Huh. Mr. G wouldn't talk to my guy, saying I'm on the wrong path for him. And he's in the level range of my guy, level 14. Not sure what to do for him, now.

*added*

The Responsibility contacts would talk to him, however. Washington didn't go anywhere at that level, though. Kang started up okay, though. Just an fyi for anyone in the same boat.

The "good guys" I never remember the names Warden and responsibility I think, you go undercover just by walking up and talking to them.

The "bad guys" Power and crusader, you go undercover by finishing the morality decision at the end of the good guy arc, and talking to Scott/Marchand they will tell you to go deeper undercover and then you can get the last mission arcs that are currently locked away from you.
