Bright graphical outlines on objects in Croatoa mission.

Is this exclusive to ATI drivers or is it a "feature" of the Ultra engine? I got these bright'ish outlines along the borders of trees and some mobs while on a team in a Croatoa instance to destroy the three henges. This is the first time I've seen such artifacts.

Here's a picture as to what I'm talking about (you can also pick out traces of it on the two Tu'Anthans): http://img832.imageshack.us/img832/9...0901132046.jpg

I have not experienced that personally. Try updating to the latest 10.8 ATI drivers because it fixed some issues with FSAA. Then re-check your FSAA and Occlusion settings. They should work together now on all ATI cards since the version 10.7 driver.

Edit:
I just went to personally verify what I currently see in Croatoa (because I have not been there recently), and I see the same thing. It is indeed the FSAA because turning it off makes it go away.

It's probably a side-effect of the way that type of treeline barrier is created, which is why we didn't notice it in other areas or zones. I'd theorize you are only going to see that in areas that display those specific kind of trees, like Perez Park or NW Cap as well.

I guess they didn't get everything fixed after all.

I'm glad to know it's not only me Thanks for the reply.

FYI, running latest 10.8 drivers.

10.8 Catalyst Drivers are out and solve a lot of issues.

Edit: Hrm, if you're running 10.8 I have no idea what's going on. Try turning off settings one at a time until you isolate it.

Well done.
I have a 50 in every AT, but Scrappers and Dominators are my favorites.

Indeed, I'm running 10.8 already as well. It seems there are still a few minor issues to be fixed.

On a side note, I did get a chance to check out Perez Park right now, and I did indeed see similar behavior.

Those trees just don't like FSAA I guess. Everything else in the game has been fine as far as I can tell.

I already did. Turning off FSAA clears it up, but since it seems to be limited to only those specific textures, I'm just going to keep it on.

Well that's good news, at least - gives the devs a specific place to look.

But if it doesn't happen for people with NVidia cards, it might be something that needs to be addressed by the next version of ATI driver.

Either way, I don't personally find it very annoying, but I don't spend most of my time near those types of trees. If I happen to start doing some arcs in Croatoa again and it starts to annoy me, I'll just shut it off while I'm there. A nice quick fix until it's actually addressed by ATI.

The question is.. can anybody on NVidia confirm that it is definitely not happening for them with FSAA turned on?
