A few side-switching Qs

I have a few questions. My main is a Villain, and I was going to bring him hero-side for badges.

1-- Do you get booted from your old SG if you switch sides? If not, do you retain stats in the SG like prestige earned? I am currently the Supreme Leader in mine, but can easily hand it off to someone I trust or dump it on an alt of mine. Any info on what happens to SG status would be great.

2-- Is there anything that you lose out on by switching sides? For example, is there some type of reward granted for never faltering and remaining true, thus never getting the badges/content from the opposing side? I will gladly keep him a villain forever if there is some type of perk for never switching sides.

Thanks for your help guys.

IIRC, there's a badge for sticking with a single alignment for a week straight. Obviously I haven't tried this on Live, and I had to stop testing partway through Beta because my connection got sketchy, but that's the only thing I can think of.

you get kicked from your sg/vg once you completely cross, aka villain to rogue or hero to vigilante will not kick you, but rogue to hero or vigilante to villain will, you also get a pop up message before hand telling you it will kick you and someone else will be promoted to leader if you hold that seat, don't know about prestige

completing an alignment mission for hero or villain while you are a hero or villain grants alignment merits which can be used to buy purple and pvp ios

No, it will not kick you from the SG. Read the in game help under the tips menu. Read the patch notes.

If they do switch alignment all the way to polar opposite of the SG, leadership will pass to the next highest ranking/senior member of the SG.
What if they are the only member of the group?

When a character changes alignment away from the alignment of the SG (like if a Hero in a Hero SG becomes a Vigilante) that character is flagged as an "inactive" and loses the Super Leader red star if they had it.

If you're the only member in the SG you'd technically lose the red star rank but you'd also be "inactive" so you couldn't really use your base anymore anyway. If you go back to the original alignment you started at you'd be "reactivated" and since you'd become the only eligible active member to be the Super Leader you should get the red star back instantly.

Not quite. There's only two alignments as far as Supergroups are concerned. Vigilantes are still Heroes, and Rogues are still Villains. Your example would remain an active member. If they went all the way to villain, then they'd be locked out, and lose the red star if they had it.

In the case of a one person SG, if you switch over all the way, you lose the red star and the SG has no Super Leader. Once you switch back, you get promoted back up.
