CoX causing bandwidth issues since 15/8

Hi all... I'm usually the first to say "nope, no problems here" whenever anyone moans about lag (I play on Defiant on the Europe servers, lag's pretty rare there). However, over the last couple of days I've noticed a mysterious lag issue affecting not only the game, but all other internet connectivity as well.

I'm running Windows 7 on an Intel i5, Geforce GTX275 with 4GB of DDR3 memory, and I know from previous experience that my connection is more than enough to handle CoX, multiple Firefox windows and MSN open at once. But in the last couple of days having CoX open causes MSN to randomly disconnect, and browser windows to stop responding (even Google takes a good 2 or 3 minutes to load).

In the game itself? I notice sporadic lag with other players dashing about, some chat lag now and again, but it's most obvious whenever I activate powers, the timing is all over the place. Meanwhile the netgraph shows regular red and yellow spikes whereas before it was pretty much permanently green.

Anyone have any ideas, or experiencing the same thing? I'm hoping it's just GR busy-ness and it'll all die down, but it sucks not being able to enjoy the "new stuff!!" rush at the same time as everyone else.
