Bad frame rate in Windowed mode?

What is the version and date of the drivers you are using?
As far as HeroStats, that may be a question better answered on their forums since they know how their program works and why better than most of us do.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

I am on a desktop, also running HeroStats. I've also noticed a drop in FPS when running in Windowed mode. Will try lowering ingame resolution to see if that has any effect.

Nightphall: Try turning off Hero stats and then restart the game, see if you still get the low frame rate. I did, which surprised me a little.
Someone recommended a program called HeroStats. I have obtained it and tried running it. This program attempts to (or can, anyway) display some data over the game window. That works only in Windowed mode under Windows 7. Unfortunately, if I enter Windowed mode, whether or not I am running HeroStats, my frame rate drops from around 40fps to around 12fps.
Machine is an ASUS G73-something laptop, ATI 5870 video card. Drivers are NOT updated because every source I can find says that the ATI generic drivers cause lockups on this machine, and ASUS has not yet released an update that works well on this hardware.
