Night Fall or Tenbrous Tentacles?
As I recall, TT does some kind of melee damage type, at least in part, while Night Fall is negative energy. For a /dark defender, TT is generally better because it fills a hole, and because immobilizing is so very awesome.
The obvious answer, though, is: Get both. TT to immobilize, then nightfall to damage everything in the cone. They really do pair up together extremely well.
Anyone able to confirm the numbers for me at least? I appreciate your feedback, seebs, but I don't have room for both, and the numbers/effects are going to be the deciding factor for me. Seems kind of weird that the numbers are so different.

I'd like to point out that TT has a wider, yet shorter cone, while NightFall is longer but less wide..
TT: 30 Degree Cone 40 Range
NightFall: 20 Degree Cone 60 Range
(according to Mids)
Might be wise to weigh this into your play style.
Hey all, I'm a little ways out from the Ancillaries on my DM/WP Scrapper, but I'm wondering if I should grab Night Fall or Tenebrous Tentacles. Just as an fyi, I'm trying to diversity this build's approach from my usual grabbing of Tough and Weave, so I'm trying to utilize fears and as many to-hit debuffs as possible for mitigation (almost all of my other Tanks and Scrappers have these).
I'm further confused by powers listings on City of Data and Mid's. Mid's says Tenebrous does more damage, but CoD says that Night Fall does more. Both seem to do the same to hit debuff, but Tenebrous immobilizes its targets, which may or may not be a good thing. I'm thinking either would be better at the start to cut down on return fire, so the immobilize might not be good if they're spread out. But if it does do more damage, Tenebrous might be a better choice all the same.
Any thoughts out there on the subject?
