Division 401's Original Art Thread
Heh, well there you go. No one else had made a request so looks like CR's request is up.
Its going to be hard to suffer through drawing Christina Hendricks.... but I think I can tough it out.
On an unrelated note, oil painting supplies are expensive @.@
Rather than be late with Wassy Wednesdays, Wassy's submitting the special Secret Invasion bust commission for Storm Vyxen as her weekly entry. It came out pretty awesome. Special thanks go out to Storm Vyxen for donating to the Inkwell Awards!
There's one more of these issues left in Wassy's hands. If you're interested in a special bust commission of your character on a limited edition variant issue of Secret Invasion #1, contact kris@wassyart.com.
I'm still doing up CR's suggestion for next week, but with classes starting this week and a lecture I need to attend tonight, I got swamped!
Put on some hipwaders and get a move on!
Hey everyone.
It has slowly gotten to the point lately where I have posted next to nothing of my own work over the last year on DA. My coloring has been going really well but I dont only ever want to color. so I am going to start taking on weekly sketches. I will be picking a character, topic, object or thing each week and at the end of the week I will post the resulting artwork.
where do you come in? I want your suggestions for what to do.
I'll take OC's, Animals, characters from games, cartoons, comic books, TV and film, give me a random name for a character and I'll draw what I think they should look like. suggest something, anything at all, Depending on the demand I might not do everything but I will do my best to fulfill all request's.
leave your sugguestions on my journal over on DA
also it occurs to me that this was never posted here
and I finished the coloring for the WIP posted above.
should be something new from me this sunday! keep watching and suggestion stuff for me and Wassy to do.
Vrykon's Friday updated has been posted, but it's a bit unfinished and NSFW. If you're still interested in checking it out, you can find it at the Division-401 website.
Figures. The 401 is looking for requests, and I got nothing without being selfish and requesting my own stuff be done. *sigh*
Oh well. Keep up the great work, 401!!

Biggest Troll on the forums? I'll give you a hint:

Dunno about the others, but I'm taking personal character requests
Vrykon is not taking personal characters as requests at this time. Eddy however, will consider original character requests. That being said, for both Eddy and Wassy, requests from people who add Division-401 to their dA watchlist are given higher priority than requests from people who don't have Division-401 on their dA watchlist.
Looks great, both of them!
Cool I like the stylized fire effect of the Ghenna piece and the Frost n Neurotika has a kind of ethereal look to it... plus w00t Christina Hendricks art coming up.
I just started watching Madmen (2 eps so far) and deciding if I like it/want yet another show to follow but it has CH so hey there's that.
She's awesome as Joan.
Though honestly, its really John Hamm as Don Draper that totally hooked me. I DO have to call stupid on AMC for making it tricky to catch up on a season if you're just dropping in. They only very briefly put an episode up online after it plays, they don't replay them during the week on the channel, and it takes a couple weeks for it to go OnDemand on cable, and they only keep a couple episodes. If we had been more than a few episodes behind on the current season, we'd have to wait for the DVD release to watch it.
EDIT: OK, this week's episode puts 3 Whedon alum actors into a single episode. I might have to look up the casting director.

Comcast seems to put up the new episodes quickly enough. At least, when I felt like re-watching last week's episode on Tuesday, it was already waiting for me.
zOmg!
*gets the fuzzy slippers and Diet Coke* John Hamm is like, so, totally hawt.
Final results from Tom Chu's Livestream coloring from the past two days.
/facepalms at Caemgen.
Um, Caem, that's Wassy's artwork....I saw it on DA...
Global is @Mellissandria
I don't have that much art, but I do write stories and I do collect art on
my DA account
Requested here and on DA and I've been watching since the get go.
*awaits next Wednesday's sketch whatever it may be*
