Tales of Bizarre Luck
That explains why I always get crappy rolls

I also remember 'tanking' Ghost Widow on my FF defender for about 10 minutes once. She only hit me a couple times, I thought streakbreaker was going to kill me long before I died.
The purpose of the streakbreaker is to prevent the annoyance of a long string of misses. Since the game AI doesn't get annoyed (as far as I know), it doesn't get a streakbreaker - only the players do.

I once used Taunt on an AV in the middle of a packed mob, like 'she had to jump up, then over, to get out' packed. She then ran over, alone, and got smacked down hard.
Software does some messed up stuff on occasion.
I had gone 2 days farming nemesis for a couple hours each and got nothing. I was just about to quit and figured I'd hit demonic and top off my insp before I logged.
In the last group I did I footstomped finishing most of the group and popped 3 purples from that one footstomp (ragnarok, armageddon, coercive persuasion).
In previous closed tests: I inevitably got a lot of purple drops.
Hardly ever see one on live.
The devs clearly have a sense of humour with me and the RNG.

Nice punchline!
I've only rolled architect tickets the once. I was quite sursprised to get a Regenerative Tissue +Regen from a Bronze roll, I'd assumed they were Pool C, and not Pool B. I really freaked out when my next roll was also a Regenerative Tissue +Regen.

It is one of those REALLY good drops that you can get by just taking guys out at low level and be setup for awhile if you sell it.
Talking about bizarre luck. One day my son and I were running a mission and he was complaining that he had not gotten a purple in forever. He then got one in the group we were on. Followed that up with another purple drop in the next group. And the third group he got a respec recipe.
I told him that he had to stop stealing all of my purples.

I haven't played AE enough in the last couple of issues to know if that still works but it was semi-reliable in issue 13-14.

Ever had a streak of bizarre luck? It's not always good luck, sometimes it's downright terrible.
For instance the other day I decided to level up a mastermind (an archetype that I really do not care for) on a dare. I figured I'd level it up to around SO levels using AE. I toughed it out through some arcs and ended up at level 22 with 9,999 tickets right when I hit level 22. I left the map with the intent of purchasing a few random bronze rolls and maybe some salvage to sell. When I left the map I noticed some players asking for help in broadcast, they were new to the game and wanted some help getting to Grandville so they could purchase their jetpacks, having leveled past that mayhem mission.
They mostly got a stream of hate from anti-AE players calling them n00bs and other more unsavory things. Is it hard to get to Grandville? Nah, not particularly. Sometimes there's bad luck and sometimes you can get there almost immediately. These two were having trouble dodging swimming Luddites. I figured I'd use my Vet TP to get them to the ferry. Sent them tells, got them to the ferry, wished them luck.
I got back to AE to purchase my random rolls when I got a tell asking for a little influence, turns out they were told that Jetpacks were 1,000 infamy when they're really 10,000. I could tell them to go kill something - but they had a heck of a time just getting over there. I e-mail one of them 25,000inf and tell him to give half to his friend. They both send me tells to thank me.
I continue with my random rolls and got 2 Steadfast: Knockback Protections, 2 Steadfast: Res/Defs, a couple +Chance for Endurance from a set whose name I can't remember... Performance something-or-other I believe, and then a third Steadfast: KB protection.
I realize that that's a lot of Steadfasts, but it sure felt like Karma to me.
