Titan Maintenance

Hey all, I just wanted to post a quick message saying that I'm going to be doing some maintenance on the Titan Network servers today. All of the sites may be periodically unavailable, including the Paragon Wiki, CIT, RedTomax's site, and the build planners. This is scheduled maintenance; nothing has crashed, so don't panic. (Yet. )

Oh, and I don't mean that it's going to be down the whole day; it might be up and down. Just don't do something that critically depends on it. I'll post another message once the maintenance is done and we have the server in a stable up state.

Update! (23:06 Eastern, July 12)

Okay, that oughtta do it. Just in case, I've enabled full logging and notification in the wiki, so if anything's broken it will report it to us--and to you, too. If you see any weirdness, please let me know.

Update! (21:30 Eastern, July 12)

We still have a couple of lingering issues with the Paragon Wiki in that one of our extensions isn't working and causing some pages not to render correctly. Supposedly a couple of dot releases of MediaWiki fixes the problem. Accordingly, I'm going to place the Paragon Wiki in read-only mode for a while and will have it down a little while later while I try to get the MediaWiki software upgrade installed.

Sorry for the inconvenience!

Update! (22:45 Eastern, July 10)

Okay, I think I've got a handle on it now. I'm still mopping up a few minor things, and of course, I'm going through and trying to validate that everything is up and running, but hopefully the lion's share of the work--that is, the part that means extended outages--is done.

I'll be monitoring this thread for a while in case anyone reports any problems here. If you see something wrong that wasn't wrong before, please either post a reply here, post a message on our forums, or e-mail me at tonyv@cohtitan.com.

Sorry again for the inconvenience, but this should make everything work better in the long run and give us a few more widgets to develop new stuff with.

Update! (21:15 Eastern, July 10)

Scratch all of that... I just remembered you can't directly upgrade from Ubuntu 9.04 to 10.04, you have to go through 9.10. I have to do another upgrade. Still, the vast majority of the time I spent before was in backing up everything three times, including several gigabytes of offsite transfer, so this shouldn't take nearly as long.

We've been saving Paragon City for eight and a half years. It's time to do it one more time.
(If you love this game as much as I do, please read that post.)

Thanks for that report. Just tried to access it, but couldn't. Now I know why.
