Vista Problem
The method I prefer is to selectively override UAC for just Cityofheroes. To do this, you need to first take ownership of the City of Heroes installation folder (with your user if only your user account plays it, or the Users group if multiple people play it), which defaults to C:\Program Files\City of Heroes on 32bit systems, or C:\Program Files (x86)\City of Heroes on 64bit systems.
Next, you'll need to install Microsoft's Application Compatibility Toolkit and use it to create an override for cohupdater.exe in your installation directory.
Now, you'll have maximized your security and usability. City of Heroes will no longer be forced to run as an Administrator, and you'll still have the protection of UAC (at least if you have the two-account setup, otherwise UAC is mostly just security theatre).
