Ok, so this guy is annoying me.......

.....HOW THE HELL DOES A SCRAPPER SOLO HIM?????

even as an EB I can't do it help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kiting helps.

Having enough speed to get out of range of his 'Sap you, Buff me' power will help

As others will no doubt say;
Inspirations!!

I was able to do it on me 44 DM/Regen but just barely... and I had to resort to pulling out the shivan when I ran low on blues.

My Blasters on the other hand haven't had any issues with him, as an EB.
Tried to duo him as an AV with a scrapper and blaster with no luck.

When the big red message tells you to get away. Get away.

Attack slowly, so you're not stuck in a long animation when he does his siphon thing. It's pretty easy to outrun with just swift.

He is tricky due to the timing of it but otherwise rather easy.

I've soloed him on my DM/invuln brute, as an AV. I had to use 15-ish various insp though.

1) Using a quick primary makes it a lot easier. It was almost easier with my DM against an AV, then with WM against an EB.

2) Go a little slower. Making sure to avoid the drain if more important then DPS but him ending up healing.

3) Try to guess when he'll fire next his drain. I'm not sure what's the recharge, but once he's fired it, i usually go all out for 15-ish secondes. Then i go back to slow mode.

4) Don't queue(probably spelled wrong) in attacks. If you click on an attack while the other is activating, and the message pops, you usually won't be able to cancel the queued attack and he'll get you with the drain.

5) Hurdle+CJ or swift+spring will help getting away faster.

This.

If you have hurdle+CJ, or Swift, or Sprint, there is time to get away as long as you are paying attention.

I soloed him as an AV without temps or inspirations on both my Kat/WP scrapper and my DM/EA brute. Once you learn the gimmick of his signature power, he is not a difficult AV.

The AV version was a pushover for my fire/traps corr, but I'll have to check cause he actually did a number to my stone/ela brute the first time I faced him (only EB version too). I recall him sapping me dry which simply shouldn't happen on that toon. I'm thinking his drain might be unresistable. Then again, I wasn't really paying attention so I may have had ninja run on or something and drained myself lol.

2 purples, 2 oranges, 2 reds, 2 yellows and 2 greens.
My MA/SR had to try 4 times. Yes, he's a b*stard. If you cant get a team, no, theres no other solution. Patience is the only weapon you have. And insps

He is not too hard as an EB. Just kite him.

Because you hit him a bunch and HE DID NOT DIE! THE OUTRAGE!

Scrappers have scrapper moments. Move along, nothing to see here.

I discovered something interesting when I ran the arc with my BS/Inv scrapper. Before running the arc, I used base buffs like resist end drain, resist energy dam, etc etc and loaded up with medium to large purples.

Now I was either the unluckiest bastich because he must have siphoned at least 4 times while I was buffed. After beating up on him a few times and running out of inspirations, I ran. (Yes, I know...but bear with me...and I was on Die only 1 challenge setting heh)

The trick is to fight him by the elevators and when he gets ready to siphon, click on the vators to go down. Wait a couple of seconds and then come back up. You will find that he did not siphon you (if done at right time) and he does not follow you down. Just come back up and beat up on him and go down the vators again if need be.

On a side note, my emp/elec defender with hover was able to simply float and take him down without fleeing. The end drain from my blasts never allowed him to siphon lol.

Anyways, hope this helps.

Reason for this is it seems his drain is unresistable and autohit, so running away when he starts it is the only way to avoid it.
