Jackhammer sound bug

Tough to describe, but every time I log into the game for the first time, I get this loud jackhammer-like sound just before the zone finishes loading. It only seems to happen on the first log-in after the client starts, not subsequent log-ins.

Relevant system info(?):
OS: Win XP SP3
GPU: Radeon HD5570
Sound: On-board Realtek ALC88x (can't find anything more specific than this, it's from the motherboard manual)

I don't think it has to do with his computer. A lot of us are getting odd noises when first loading in and/or zoning.
