Is this build end sustainable? DM/DA
I've have found any Dark Armor build with out a minimum of 2 EPS Net recovery (recovery - endurance drain) to be completely unsustainable with my playstyle. With out the +end of the Accolades (Portal Jockey and Atlas Medallion), I would find your build's endurance management unsustainable. With the Accolades and with proper DM/DA strategies (assuming you know this; but basically letting Death Shroud do it's work), it should be mostly if not entirely sustainable.
The main problem I see with the build is it lacks sufficient Energy or Ranged defense. I build all of my Dark Armor characters to have a minimum of 25% Energy or Ranged defense. Ideally you'll want Energy defense but Ranged defense covers a large enough portion of Energy attacks to add significant survivability.
With out this, you'll be relying more heavily on Dark Regeneration. With the ToE: +End PROC, fighting in large groups will likely trigger, making DR almost free (with your slotting costing you 9.3 EP.) This is why I say mostly. You will always run the risk of bad luck and the PROC not trigger...several times in a row.
Have you considered focusing on "typed" defense. I'm finding going after E/Ne in addition to either F/C or S/L to be easier for designing effective Dark Armor builds.
Thanks Des. I didn't have end issues in my live build (I think she only has the TF commander accolade), but in addition to the health uniques she has no tough/weave and runs Oppressive Gloom, I had CoF for a brief period of time when she was still on SOs and ditched it after experiencing OG, but I want to try a different path to renew my interest in the toon. At least Atlas Medallion I can get quickly at 50...
And about playstyle I always let D. Shroud do its work especially after a good Soul Drain and focused on the hard targets, I've always ignored minions because of O. Gloom and D. Shroud. I don't even understand when people say DA is squishy, last time I respecced her (i12) I remember I decided against Tough because I didn't die in an ITF and later ran several invincible arcs solo in Cimerora to see if I could handle the s/l damage. I chose Cimerora also because the mobs are resistance to KD and my live build has a 5 Crushing Impact slotted Air Sup, which always helped me against bosses because of my lack of def and no Tough. But she did well in Cim at the time.
Anyway I'll try planning a build for typed defenses, I don't care about f/c def in any toon I have, even my dm/ea stalker so it may be a good approach to build for s/l and e/n. I tried for positionals because I find it better for global recharge bonuses (although I'm looking at the build now and realizing I'm only at 18% ranged but 22.5% s/l, 20% e/n and 28% melee defs with Hover turned off so maybe I won't have to change a lot of things to get 5% extra energy).

I did come up with a VERY nice build using P. Perfection but have decided not to use it. Like you, I find Darkness Mastery to be very fun on a DM/DA. Discussed it with some friends and we seemed agree the character just wouldn't be the same (concept wise) with out Darkness Mastery. Most my other Dark Armor characters will likely pursue the Body mastery route.

Hmm not a very good attempt I guess. Good defs (32% s/l, 30% e/n, 24% melee, 23.5% ranged, again ignoring Hover which I won't use in combat), more maxhp, almost the same maxend (111 now vs 114, before accos), but global acc, recovery and recharge took a hit, I think my acc in CoF is bad now, and Smite and SL have less endredux lol.

My general target for net recovery (recovery - toggles) is between 2.5 and 3 EPS. Once I'm in that range, I start doing more detailed calculations to see where I really stand.
Out of curiosity, where DOES my Katana/Dark stand in that regard? Looks like 1.91 net EPS - well below target. However, I do have Conserve Power and I'll typically detoggle one or more powers in long fights - Death Shroud if I want to keep minions for Dark Regeneration, Tactics if I'm hitting OK, Cloak of Fear if I'm fighting an AV without minions, Tough if I'm not fighting a smashing/lethal AV, and so on. It usually works. It doesn't always work. In long fights, I occasionally end up standing around spamming nothing but Divine Avalanche for a while.
Without Conserve Power or Dark Consumption to fall back on, I agree with Desmodos, it doesn't look sustainable, at least on the surface.

Des, have you got to even out the numbers? I'm not rich so I can't affor to try outfitting my toon so differently and then respec a lot of times to switch IOs all around.
I replaced the reactive armors for imperviums so I can get more recovery and extra end, what do you think? Lost 3.75% def to all tho - I also wish I could find 2 slots, one for boxing (2 Abs Amazements for 4% recovery) and another for a Kismet Unique since my CoF accuracy sucks. I"d like to have 12 points of KB protection too (since I can't tell the difference between 4 and 8) but I can't even slot my attacks (Smite and SL) the way I wanted (1 extra slot each for a dampened spirits rech/end).

Well I think I'm going with a melee and s/l build. Numbers don't look so bad, I like the recharge, maxhp and the m/s/l defenses.
And since I mostly team, is there's a buffer around (AM, SB, whatever) I'll toggle maneuvers on for more def.

For the record. I prefer the build with the Impervium armors. Melee defense is great, but you need Energy defense. IMHO, anything less than 20% Energy defense is unacceptable. On a Dark Armor build, anything over 24% Energy defense is damned impressive, though I recommend shooting for 30%.

Although I'm tempted to go for the melee def build I just posted, I'd have an energy hole..... But I'm getting tired, I have like 6 planned builds for my DM/DA here

Oh I saw your statement, was just curious how much def you could put since the attempt you posted last time was unsustainable
But I'm happy with the last build I posted, with the accos I'll be able to get over 2 eps (don't remember which ones I have, maybe only TF commander) even running maneuvers (just added an Enzyme there, edited my post again), then I'll get 37% melee, 22% ranged, 28.3% s/l and 25.1% e/ne, besides 19% f/c (which I don't really care).
The only sad thing is that I'll lose flight, but I can't see myself using Hover in combat as a scrapper as I like to move fast on the few melee toons I have. Even my squishies that have good recovery use Super Speed most of the time.
Thanks for the numbers and all the help on this thread! I was able to put 31.6 s/l and 31% e/ne on my typed defense build but then it'd only have 35% global rech.. Net gain of 1.8 but maxend at 114 before accos.
I think I'll go with the last one I posted, 37% melee and 25% e/ne seens good to me with 51% global rech. Time to respec!
EDIT: OSHI- I forgot to turn on Death Shroud on the last build I posted, now it sucks again. I give up for now, I'll go level my Stalker, I jut can't make a CoF build with more than 2 eps gain.

Sooo my second toon to get to 50 in i10 was a DM/DA scrapper. After i12.5 I went to redside and barely touched my heroes, my DM/DA is well IO'ed out but has no Tough/Weave and Siphon Life is slotted like 1 acc + 3 Numinas, she still has Shadow Punch, etc, haven't touched her after the DM changes.

I'm thinking about changing her to a defense+fear build (she has OG now) and I'm wondering if this build is sustainable because I'm bad with this stuff especially since I'm almost always teaming.
Hover wouldn't be toggled on in combat, it's just there for the LoTG+kismet (might replace it for a Karma -KB if the build is not broken in end usage) and because she's my only flying toon and I wanted to keep the 'concept'. I might also replace something with Hasten (the live build has it) but I'm curious if this build is viable, I think it has good recovery but the end usage looks horrid to me
