Quick question re: new slots and vet rewards

A while back one of my characters bugged out and got a whole lot of vet reward badges that it shouldn't have gotten.

I've tried to avoid using anything I haven't earned so far but now I have 21 months of veteran rewards and I can't tell how many extra character slots I should have from the website.

I have 3 available, so it says in game, but I don't know if one of those is "legit" now or not.

Can anyone help me out by explaining when you get those extra slots through veteran rewards? I only saw 2, one at 60 months and one at 72, but she has the vet rewards for 51 months, so those can't be them. Is this confusing? I bet it is.

Three sounds right - I know when the put the system in place, it was 2 to everyone PLUS 1 per 12 month badge (12/24/36/48/60/72). So 3 sounds about right, actually.

If only one character has the extra badges, it shouldn't be giving you any slots to worry about loosing.

The extra slots are given for every year of membership. That means we should have had one for 12, 24, 36, 48, 60, and 72.

and yes, we were also given 2 free ones when the feature was added in i12.

That's not necessarily true. Last year, one of my toons was upgraded to Veteran status of 48, and my account was only at 33 at the time. I was granted the 2 free character slots for 36 and 48 anyway. Only the ONE toon was affected by the badges, but my account was given those global rewards.

I did not receive any new slot when my account officially hit 36, and I don't expect to get a new one when I officially hit 48 in a few months either.. because they were already awarded to me.

It keeps track of what you've been rewarded with.

I had a bug affect me as well, and I used the extra slot before I realized it was a bug. When my account caught up to where the bug placed me I was not awarded another slot, because it remembered that I had already been given one.

One thing I did notice though: Any bugged rewards won't be applied until you log in on the bugged character. In my case it was my main. After I logged him in after a long time of being logged off I had rewards granted. I have no idea how long he was actually bugged for prior to that.
