Saying if something happens and stating an effect of it doesn't mean you support it.
If someone says the death penalty is the only 100% guarantee that a criminal will not be a repeat offender (which is fact) that doesn't mean they support it. Put more simply:
If you hang someone that killed a family of four, you know they'll never do it again but that doesn't mean you want it to happen.

If they started selling influence, I'd drop a couple of grand on it just so that I could lord it over you all. "Ha ha, I'm rich, and you all are poor as dirt!" Do we really want that to happen? I'm telling you, I would be completely insufferable about it. Seriously. I'd post YouTube videos of me deleting purple IOs. Just because I can. "I'm sorry, did one of you want that?"
On the other hand, I admit, it would be fun to say to some people, "You farmed how long for that!? Man, it was just half an hour at my day job for me."
Oh, by the way, yes, I've seen the local channel spammers out and about. Methinks that it will only get worse.
