New temp emote or power: Throw Tomato!

It would have to be a power. Emotes don't have a target, so the best you could do that way is have the tomato thrown straight ahead. Of course, if you're facing the wrong way, it misses, and if you're not exactly the right distance, it stops early or passes straight through. As a power though, all those problems are fixed. So scratch the emote part, and stick with the power.
That said, I don't expect a lot of goofy things like this before Going Rogue. The devs are just too busy.
It would be perfect as the temp power for a Jester-themed booster. With a Jester costume already in the game, that wouldn't sell very well. So how is it added to the game, and how is it earned?

I think it would have to be tied into smackin down Carnies. 
I agree on the emote vs. temp power as you can't target emotes.
A Jester themed Booster pack would be entertaining, but I agree, with the current costumes it would be a hard sell.

While throw tomato will be fun, I know someone will complain about it, just like they complain about snowballs. The potential for griefing and whining is the only real negative of it.
Given that the slap/smack combo for emotes is no longer chainable because of potential griefing (even though it was so fun) I'm not sure how likely this is.
Although I would LOVE if I could throw tomatoes on the forums too. There are some suggestions that outright are begging for it.
Ok.... I'm not sure I should be suggesting this as most of my teammates or folks on the channels I frequent would use this against me, but I'd like to see a new emote or temp power.
It would have a similar animation to snowball, but changed to a Red Ripe Juicy Tomato that can be hurled at anyone, such as myself, who's uttered a bad pun or joke that would normally get a groan or a roll of the eyes. And change the audio to a watery splat followed by either boos or snickers instead of the current snowball one.
