Most of us are playing on the Asmodean side on Israphel, I'm not quite sure which server Champions are playing Elyos on. I haven't been playing as much lately, but can probably hop on later to get you a legion invite if you need.

Might also install it onto a portable hard drive (as well as CoH/oV, in case I can take this to MegaCon). You can install games on multiple drives, can you?

If you're intending to run the game on multiple computers from a portable drive, it doesn't really work that way.
It will still have to install on every computer, you will just save some time because it won't have to copy/download the files. This is because most of the games have to write something to the registry.

The game just showed up. They said two-day delivery, this was kinda like 1.5. I was expecting it Saturday.
If I install tonight:
1) Where do I go?
2) What's a good AT to start with?

Well hell. I tried the installation tonight. Disc One was no problem at all. I put Disc Two in and the DVD drive starts clicking at me and the install wizard freezes up. /headthump
Computer's not reading Disc Two at all.
I needs to return/exchange it, right?

As far as classes go it all depends, what do you usually play in CoX?
- Chanter is mainly a buffer with some heals.
- Cleric is a healer with some buffs.
- Assassin is a stealth DPS class like a Stalker.
- Ranger is just that, ranged DPS mostly.
- Gladiator I would say is like a Brute, it does damage and has tanking abilities.
- Templar is the Tank of the game, that's enough said.
- Sorcerer is a DPS and crowd control class.
- Spirit Master does damage, has a pet and has some crowd control

Install the launcher, tell it to install Aion (The launcher is what's used to launch/update it anyway even if you install from DVD). This way, when the package comes, all you'll need is a key to start playing, and you won't install from DVDs and then have to watch for it to patch up 8 versions.

I personally am yet to install with the disks, so for all I know mine do the same thing.
