Worked in XP, but not 7?
Delete this thread please, clean driver reinstall fixed the whole mess.
Must've been Win7's auto-installed drivers.

That is exactly what caused the problems. The default auto-installed drivers in Windows 7 are not full featured drivers.

It doesn't matter if it's an nVidia card or an ATI card, you need to download and install the drivers from nVidia or ATI to access the OpenGL capabilities of the drivers. I haven't installed any DirectX games on my Windows 7 systems yet, so don't know how they work with the default drivers. They "may" display correctly, but I wouldn't try it myself.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.
Black Pebble is my new hero.
I used to play CoH back when this old rig had WinXP on it.
I have since upgraded to Win7, and now CoH won't start.
Says:
"Your card or Driver doesn't support GL_ARB_Multitexture"
And also "...GL_ARB_texture_compression"
Then tells me to update the drivers for my 7600GS (AGP 8x), which I did just the other day.
After clicking Yes (just play the game already), it crashes.
I know it's not the video card's fault, it played CoH/V before just fine.
Will post DXDiag if need be.
