Coloring Chat Bubbles

Hi:

I need some help with how to color chat text and their bubbles, I used to have mine colored but they no longer work, have been broken for sometime...

This is what my original coloring code used to look like:

/bind f9 "local <color white><bgcolor red> Roll Tide"
/bind enter beginchat <color white><bgcolor red>

They used to work, and now they don't, it seems perhaps the rules or symbols may have changed, can someone please tell me how to currently accomplish the 2 samples I made above?

Hugs

I'm not sure about the binds, but they did add the ability to change chat colors in the options menu. Just in case you didn't see that?

Not an expert on this but I believe they no longer function they way they did because they gave us a slider bar tool under options to color our text and bubbles.

Although if your going for the invisible stuff with the bubbles you will not be able to accomplish that using the color text tool as it is now.

Actually, the fact they gave us the slider has nothing to do with the inability to bind the colored bubbles. A change made to prevent possible hacking (introduced with being able to hot-link the powers and items in chat, as I recall) causes binds to store "<" and ">" as their &code equivalents. When the system processes them, they still show up as < and >, but not before the point where the code would be processed to re-color the chat bubbles.
