I like the golds and yellows turned out in your coloring.
Maybe a brighter white for his goatee to give it more contrast... there is a lot of blending and something
to serve as a focal point would really punch it up. The eyes being brightened or having some effects applied could do it too.

This was inspired from several pieces in Kobolt's gallery of his main, still not sure I am happy with it yet... may keep hammering at this one or do another, not sure. Anyway 90 minutes work, Photoshop (sketched and speed colored)... click for larger version on my blog.
