Fire/Invul, Good or bad?
I haven't heard bad things about Invuln since they buffed it a while ago. Even before then, even if it was arguably the worst Scrapper secondary, it was merely so-so, not bad. The buff wasn't huge, but it didn't need a huge buff. It's now a very good secondary.
Your endurance problems are likely because Fire is so very efficient at putting out the damage, and there's a relationship between damage caused and endurance burned. That said, I believe Fire gets a discount in that department since its secondary effect is even more damage. Your other big problem is that you are pre-Stamina. Almost everyone is sucking wind pre-Stamina.
Don't worry. The teens in particular suck for most Scrappers I've played. You're almost done with the worst of it. It'll keep getting better as you level up. You'll be fine.

Videos of Other Stupid Scrapper Tricks
Oh mee, why do I ask questions on the forum when I have to scoot my boots to work within minutes.....
Anyways, I have a new scrapper which has me tearing my hair out by the roots, but despite this, I not only have been playing only her, but I have started Frankenslotting her and even have some recovery bonuses. She is level 19 and I normally do not start doing this until level 25. She is a Fire/Invul who laps up Endurance like it was water. I have everything slotted with endurance reducers, and I still have end problems, and I guess I will until I get lots more slots. My question is I have heard such bad things about Invul, is she going to be ok in the higher levels? By ok, I mean will she be able to defeat most critters. PVE no PVP. And she is a soloer. I made an invul scrap because I don't have one. Because I heard bad things about it, I paired it with Fire which is a primary which has always done me right. And I am running out of time. If anyone has any tips for me such as what enemies I should be gunning for, and which enemies I should avoid, please share. Thanks so much. Thanks everyone for the all the hope
Between working crazy hours, and sleeping, and RL stuff, I managed to het her to level 21. I am now thinking she just might become a favorite toon
A fully slotted Stamina is a beautiful thing
Again, thanks

Once you get to the higher levels and get access to Conserve Power and Physical Perfection I can't see you having much problems. Both of the sets are really solid and you can, with not too much investment, buff your Defenses, Recovery and Recharge with IO sets.
This is just a quick example build; no particularly expensive IOs used but you won't do it with some pocket change either, though. It'll require some saving up but it shouldn't take you too long.

Without being Regeneration or Willpower, pre-SO and pre-Stamina always puts the hurt on the endurance bar for just about every AT. You've only got one level until Stamina and then two more after that for SOs and then you will be able to fight constantly without much worry of getting winded.
I don't want to say that Stamina is a 100% must have, but the general attitude here on the Scrapper forums is that we like to fight without interruption, be it health recovery downtime or endurance recovery downtime. So you can see why we tend to say Stamina, Stamina, Stamina!
