How to Post Pic on Forums?

Hey All:

A quick question: What is the easiest, best way to post Pics on the forum?

I'm kind of a newb with all matters computers and this kind of thing so speak slowly and use simple commands...

I'd like it if the Pic(s) actually show up on the forum rather than a link.

Think there's a guide to this somewhere.

1. Find a free hosting site. http://www.photobucket.com or www.imageshack.com is usually suggested.

2. Upload the picture you want there. Most are simply press a button, find the picture, and upload. Follow the instructions for the specific site.

3. Photobucket, which I use, has an "IMG Code" line (as well as direct link, email, etc.) Copy that line - it'll look like [ IMG ]http://blah blah blah [ /IMG ]

4. Paste that line into your post.

Or to get really tricky on Photobucket, after you upload the image, put your mouse over the image, look for the "Share" drop down menu, select "More options", Select the "Get Link Code" tab, and select the "clickable thumb" code to get:



Much more forum friendly on big pictures.

Even with the enhanced editor you still need to have it hosted, and photobucket is a good host for free. Then, to get the link for that image from photobucket, you need to click on the same link as to get the one with the IMG tags already on it.

Both are equal.

Use enhanced editor anyway though.
