updated system requirements?

will this$650sony@bestbuy run the games decently? im looking for something cheap to replace my busted winxp desktop that was running an ancient p4+1.5gb ram and a newish radeon 4650(agp, lol).

if i cant get something around this price i'll likely just tear down my desktop and rebuild it. what do you think, will the GR updates run fine on that or should i look elsewhere?

things i liked about it:
its sexy
screen resolution+gpu for the price
keyboard
hdmi if i ever want to move onto the living room tv
win7 installed
priced cheaply

things i wish it had:
bluray
slot load drive
backlit keyboard

i have no idea what the recommendations are for GR, so if this isnt a good build please let me know what you think i should look for. also if it matters i was planning on trying aion someday if it maintains popularity for a couple more months and would like a system that can run that on whatever medium settings they have over there, if anyone knows.

The HD4650 chip in that laptop is right around what are apparently the minimum requirements to run ultra mode, though it should be noted we don't have exact recommended specs yet. If you can find something at that price point with a 48xx series card (4850, 4870, 4890) you'd probably have a bit more wiggle room.

I believe from what had been said about Going Rogue is that it would still run on the current platforms and that you wouldnt have to upgrade. The only reason that you would need to upgrade is if you wanted to run the higher end graphics in the game. Wasnt able to find this (my search-fu isnt all that great). From what you posted about the laptop it sounds like CoX an Going Rogue should run just fine on it.

thanks thats reassuring, i might pull the trigger tomorrow if i dont see any better cyber monday deals.

outside of custom builds i dont usually see any better graphics cards in laptops under $1.5-2k and i dont want a custom built computer unless i am the one building it.
