advice for demo recording
Couple of questions.
1) Are they all doing the animation at the exact same time?
2) How close together are they going to be? (In other words, can you get a closeup and thus eliminate the need to have multiple folks in the shot?)
3) Are they all doing the same emote?
4) Where are they all going to be? (In midair? On a roughterrained map? Inside a base?)

The vast majority of the time I wont have them all in the same place.
There will be one scene of all the heroes/villains together as they learn the rules of the war they have been selected for.
For that I imagine they will be kind of huddled together on opposite sides of wherever (I have no really solidified where yet) all doing different emotes. Some pointing, some angry, some surpised, you know the drill. They will be together, but separate enough so that you can recognize each person. Of course for that scene the camera will be pulled WAY back to show all those people.
At least that is what I imagine. I'm open for all kinds of suggestions.
I have solidified my cast to 20 people, 10 on each side.
After the first initial meeting all the people will be in their own base so there will be no more then 10 people in any shot, if that many.
Obviously the hard way is the only way I can do what I want. That is cool.
I have another question. Can I use demorecord to make a standered size character GM size?
Holla back at me!
Yes, you can. That's how I made Atlas in my 5th Anniversary video.
In demorecords, a character file looks like this:

The relevant line is the first:
0 2696 COSTUME 4 465793 3457.804581 -0.613291 0.000000 -0.306646 -0.537206 -0.647483 -0.630037 0.020000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 -1.000000 -1.000000 -0.000453 0.006804 -0.025850 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 -1.000000 -1.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000
These are all your scales. The number you want is the sixth one, bolded and italicized above. This is your height. As you can see, this is a drastically larger number than you'd normally get in-game, because this is the "size of the Valor Bridge" version of Atlas. Each increment of 1 is 1", so every 12 you increase this number, that's one foot taller that your character stands.
Best option is to demorecord your character, save a COPY of the file, and then in the copy, start experimenting with the height.

Awesome.
Thank you!
If you're looking for a large group of people in a scene, a trick I've used before is to put a call out for any with Pets that stand on the ground. So Controllers, Masterminds, Dominators are great for that sort of thing. Also anyone that has a veteran rewards pet (not the Whips or demon cause they float above the ground) work well.

I have a very big project I am about to undertake.
I am going to attempt to tell a Secret War (the original one) type story.
I am pretty much stuck to doing this by myself with 2 accounts and am planning to have about 20-32 characters in some of the screenshots.
I am asking for what is the most resonable way for me to pull that off?
What I am thinking I am going to have to do is this:
I am going to have to take a demo record of one character doing an emote. Then move that character to the next person's spot and do a demo record of that emote. I will do this for all 20-32 characters until I have 20-32 different demo records of characters standing in different locations (to get the /loc).
I will then splice all of that information together into one big demo record that will be all 20-32 characters in their various places?
I don't want to have to do that, that is a lot of work. Any better ideas?
