Badging in a PvP zone?
If you are treasure hunting on a battlefield wearing an enemy uniform, there is a high probability that you will be attacked.
This is an enjoy-the-ride game. "50" is only a number, not the goal of the game. - Noxilicious
Dr.,
Please post a CoH Helper log rather than a DXDiag.
So far by the looks of it, barring any consistencies between the 2 CoH Helper logs, you're both running 32-bit. If Dr can post that CoH Helper, maybe we can find another thing in common to find a solution

We'll see....
Same Problem slow load, log in, select Character, get loading screen gets between 10 - 25% then either stays there or kicks me back to the log in Screen.

I just installed Win7 Pro (x64... clean install as I was running XP x64 prior) yesterday and installed the CoH client today. At first I was running into the same issue noted in this thread. I went and pulled down CoH Helper to post my config/diag info, and then thought I'd poke around the Properties of the CoH app. I noted that it was set to Run as Administrator, but that it was also running under XP Compatibility Mode (SP3). I disabled Compatibility Mode and fired up the client... BAM... it started up much more quickly, and there was no issue getting from the char selection screen into whatever zone the toon was parked in.
So, while I'm not saying that it should work for everyone, what worked for me is:
1) Make sure that the CoH client is running under Administrator creds, and
2) Turn off Windows XP Compatibility Mode.
If that solves the issue, post it here so that others will know for sure if it worked or not. Since I'm running a 64-bit OS, it might possibly have been why doing the above worked for me.
That worked for me:
take CohUpdater.exe, and CityofHeroes.exe out of Compatibility mode, but keep the "Run as Administrator" box Checked. That cleared up my issue. Thanks Guys.

Cool... glad it worked for 32-bit installs as well!
Hey gang,
I am having a bit of trouble and hope you can help. I just installed Win 7 and then installed the game. After trying to start the game I can get to the log in screen but it takes twice as long to get there as before. Once I get there I can log in, select my server and then character. At this point it begins to load the zone and just stops loading at about 10%. I can walk away for 10 minutes and it will still be sitting there with no more progress made. Attached is the necessary information below. Ideas?
