Oops, am I in your way?

So there I am, on my current tank in Brickstown doing some Trick or Treating. I knock on a door, some enemies come out, and another hero runs up to the same door!

Whoa! Am I going to see my first griefing this year? He must see me standing here.

And.... he walks up to the door and goes in. Oh, duh. A mission. Oddly enough, having been here for every Halloween event, that's the first time that has happened to me.

Yep, all those doors are potential mission doors.
And not everyone is ToT'ing all the time.

Glad you weren't griefed.
When I ToT, I keep a wide berth between myself and anyone else if possible, sometimes shifting territories if need be.

I was 'griefed' by someone while ToTing... The fun part? I already have all the event badges, so I was just looking for a good costume, and this guy ends up killing all the enemies that come out the doors. I say good for him, and claim all of my Treats!

Heh, that's kind of a nice surprise and a nice coincidence

I remember getting teams congregating outside a mission door to go in. When I go into my own mission in the same door, inevitably someone on the team assumes the team is going in, and as soon as he goes in, the rest of the team follows. I've seen random strangers do the same to my teams, and it's always hilarious

I had a mission the other day that had as its main goal finding out where the villain of the arc was hiding out. It was a standard office crawl in one of those big buildings on Talos Island, clicking glowy whiteboards and such. Then I went outside, phoned my contact, he said "Great, you found him, now go take him down," and directed me... the door I'd just emerged from.

I can only assume that this was my character having one of those moments where you walk from the living room to the kitchen and then think, "Now what in the hell did I come in here for again?"

Heh. I love it.

I once did a newspaper mission to steal $Itemname from $CoTmage. I did it, walked outside, opened the newspaper and saw that $CoTmage was talking trash about me, so I decided to pound him for it.
And the door was the one I'd just came from.
And when I got to the end of the map, he acted surprised to see me.

Geez, start talking trash while the target of your ire has barely cleared the exit? Yeah, he's gonna kick your behind again.

my fave ToT coincidence was clicking on a door right when a team was exiting a mission.

I was very confused for a moment!

OK, that one pure gold. Trick or treat! Wait! Are you a trick or a treat?

I've had that happen to me several times while I was fighting Halloween enemies at a door. But they weren't going to missions, they were trick-or-treating. One player even did it to me twice in Sharkhead. I don't know what they're thinking. I just back away fast and find another door in some other area.

It doesn't seem to work on the doors inside the Arena any more, either, which is a shame. I spent the better part of a hilarious evening with a small team working the balcony doors in the Talos Island Arena. What made it hilarious was mainly the fact that one of us was a Gravity Controller, so after a while the balcony area got to be practically choked with Propel debris, which bounced insubstantially out of our way in an extremely amusing manner, especially when it was a Buick. Also, because nobody else appeared to have thought of it, we had the place to ourselves. Ah, peace.

I liked the arena for ToTing too. I wonder why it was stopped.

I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.

Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.

So sad to be ending ):

Used to be worse, back in the day.

The same thing happened to me, the instant after I got the "Trick!" message and the door opened, but before the enemies stepped out. In my case, a character in Stealth costume pieces appeared. For a second, I caught myself wondering if there were special, unique bosses who occasionally pop out of doors. Then I noticed that the unique boss had an AT icon and a badge title . . .

I sent him a tell, apologizing for surrounding him with ToT enemies, but he just stood there for a while, then wandered off.

I can beat that; on Sharkhead, there's a building near the middle of the map with a burger-joint billboard on it and a door underneath; east of it is another door into the adjacent building. That door has an unusually high chance of being picked as a 'random' mission door -- I've gotten nine missions in a row to that door, the string being broken by one mission to a sewer entrance, then got three more back at the first door -- thirteen missions, all but one at the same door. Made me wonder after the streak broke what I'd done during the mission before the one in the sewer that made them shunt me off to another mission door so they could have extra time to repair and paint the interior and move in the new tenant; they were obviously good enough to do it all via the back door while I was standing out front picking up a new mission for all the others.

My only beef with this ToT season was going around PI solo with my lvl 43 DB/WP, then opening one door and having about a dozen level 52 mobs pop out, with no sign of anyone else around. Unless there was a stealth or SS hero doing a drive-by, I have no idea what happened there.

Ok, I do have one other beef. I was fighting a Vampire Lord boss (I think that's what it was) and had him down on health. He high-tails it down the block and I give chase. Before I can catch him to finish him off, he runs into one of the doors and disappears. Wuss.

Once, I knocked at a door on my scrapper and nothing happened. Instead the big team ToTing next door got jumped. There is apparently a rare bug where clicking on a door causes enemies to spawn from a different door instead. I have no idea how to reproduce it, or I'd file a bugreport.

This has been happening since last Halloween. I've noticed that if you click for Trick while a door in the immediate vicinity is currently open for someone else's Trick emergence, your Trick will very likely come out of the already opened door. If I'm on a team, I try to make this happen as often as I can to prolong the fights especially since everyone is already focused on the one spot for AOEs and such.

Teams are the number one killer of soloists.

That was me two years ago. I got a mission in Grandville with my corruptor and nobody was trick or treating there. When I come out, there's a brute at the door looking at me. The best part is that the guy was actually on my villain group, so he went on the supergroup chat, "Hey guys! I got a Leo treat!"
