Question Regarding "/windowscale" Command

I'm trying to use the /windowscale command to create a new chat window, with a tab inside it called 'Combat'. I then wanna put this window on a corner of my screen. But I don't want to be too obtrusive.

So, I want to decrease its scale compared to my regular chat window so that it could have a smaller font.

After looking up ParagonWiki, I'm only assuming the way to do this is:

/windowscale chat1 0.7

...but it doesn't do anything! I can the same command on any other window and it works! For instance 'chat0' and 'chat'. But It doesn't work on chat1, chat2, chat3, or chat 4 (and yes, these are all seperated from the main chat window).

What am I doing wrong?!

Nothing. Congratulations! You've found a bug!

I wrote the Wiki guide on /windowscale, so, I'm a bit familiar with it.

And I just tried to make it work on chat1, and it's not.

/toggle chat1 works just fine, so, it's not an issue of 'chat1' not being the correct name of the window (anymore).

And /windowscale chat works just fine.

So, it must be that chat1-4 no longer work with /windowscale.

I'll bug it in-game. Until then, here is a workaround:

1. Click the blue button to re-dock Chat1 to the Chat window.

2. Issue the command /windowscale chat .7 and that will scale both chat and chat1 to 70% size.

3. Click the blue button to un-dock Chat1 and move it where you want it.

4. Issue the command /windowscale chat 1 to return your main chat window to it's original size (or put in whatever size scale you want).
