Scrapper Cannon!!!!

Put Simply, i need a secondry to put with claws to make myself a 'mini gun' scrapper getting as many damage bonuses from IO sets in as possible.

What do you all think is the best option???

Well after looking at the secondry /SR will give you more damage bonuses from IO sets because of Red Fortunes. I don't see any from the Resis sets. But for over all more damage /Fire might give you more because of Fiery Embrace. Sadly you can't make a /SD which would be the best.

double followup + blazing aura is very good. FE gives you some upfront burst for bosses or if you just want things to dissapear with spin spam.

Fire is a bit squishy, so change your request to scrapper glass cannon and you'll be set

Dark Armor would give you 13% in damage bonuses, plus it has a damage aura.

Death Shroud - 3x Oblits - 3%
Dark Regen - 5x Theft of Essence - 3%
Cloak of Darkness - 4x Red Fortune - 2%
Cloak of Fear - 5x Dark Watcher's Despair - 2%
Soul Transfer - 3x Obliteration - 3%

/SR can get 12.5%, no damage aura, but it does have Quickness to boost dps.

Pick 5 /SR Def powers - 4x Red Fortune - 2% each
Elude - 5x Performance Shifter - 2.5%

Very broadly speaking, you're better off with recharge bonuses than damage bonuses. I'd probably pick Super Reflexes for Quickness and use Follow Up -> Eviscerate -> Focus, which requires +274% recharge in Eviscerate. It triple-stacks Follow Up on Eviscerate, at least on paper.

I guess with SR i wouldn't have to worry as much about survivability because it's quite easy to soft cap making it both survivable and cannon like.

Sweet, am going to make a test build...

[EDIT]

Here we go, nice and quick pile on of IO's, look good????

26% more damage standing, with lots of recharge and endurance recovery, and accuracy to ensure i don't miss as much.

IZ NIIIICE!!! =P

Slightly off topic, what is everyones experience trying to make a "ranged" scrapper? I know its easier to do a ranged Stalker (snipes in EPP) but havent really tried hero side. Thoughts?

I think you'd be the first person to actually take and use the snipes that stalkers have access to heh. They are the worst powers in the game.

You can make an all ranged claws or spines scrapper pretty easily by adding in the epic ranged attacks. You just end up with a lot of redraw, but if that doesn't bother you then no problem.

I much preferred trying to do a ranged build on my fire/ss/pyre tank though cause rage powered epic attacks are really good. Hurl, fireblast, fireball, and damage slotted ring of fire was actually pretty good.

They make for a great pulling tool on LRSFs.

If you pull . . . .

Oh I pull...taffy.

I haven't tried with a stalker snipe, but unless they are different from other snipes then you are usually better pulling with something that does much lower damage.

I love situational justifications for awful powers.

Pretty much agree with Frosticus. The stalker snipes are cr*p.

Can do pretty good pulls of the 2 avs in the third ITF mish as well. If you want crap powers look at poison trap in /poison or serum in merc/

I definitely agree that the worst powers in the game are reserved for a select few like such as poison-PT and MM serum, but I also happen to put an 8 sec interpretable snipe in that category ymmv

Ive seen the Fire/SS/Pyre build a few times on here in other topics. I always lean more towards Scrappers as they do more damage, but I can see the awesomeness that FE+Rage+knockout Blow+ Footstop are. I just hate having to wait so long in a build for decent attacks. I have a lvl 33 Inv/SS on Justice that hardly ever gets played cuz it feels liek he does no damage and soloing takes forever.

Maybe Im retarded or just can't think straight yet (no coffee), but can I do SS on a scrapper?

No SS on a Scrapper...although there is the new animations of Martial Arts.

I have a Level 33 WP/SS Tank and I do good damage.
What attacks does your level 33 Inv/SS have? Are they slotted? Do you have Rage?

I have Jab, Haymaker, Air Sup, KO Blow, Hand Clap, Rage, and Hurl. All my attacks are at least 5 slotted, KO Blow, Haymaker, and AS are 6 slotted. I also have Kick (unslotted), but dont use it.
I havent seen the animations on MA recently, are they cool? Which powers got changed?
Any Fire/SS/Pyre Tanks wanna chime in?

I personally think super strength does great damage.
At least enough that when I'm soloing I'm not wishing I was a scrapper.

For Martial Arts...Storm Kick, Cobra Strike, Crippling Axe Kick and Eagle's Claw have alternate punch animations.

I don't care for them personally (meaning that they weren't enough for me to make a Martial Arts Scrapper)...but Haymakers new animation (from SS) and Crippling Axe Kicks new animation are the same.

I see what ur saying about the damage. It does ok damage, but Im spoiled. I have a Fire Scrpr and BS scrpr that anihilate foes. Im talking 1500 per hit sometimes, so the 400 to 500 hits from SS are subpar to say the least, but the survivability is ridiculous. I couldnt tell you the last time he died, maybe 2-3 issues ago lol. He doesnt get played enough, mostly because Inv is kinda boring to me. I love Fire as a primary, but I hadnt lvl'd one up high enough to get burn even (altitis). I need a 2nd toon on Triumph so I will probably be rolling the Fire/SS Tank or possible a troller. My blaster on Triumph now is the fastest lvling toon I have ever seen. Period. Love it.
