Ultimate respec
I would go for a complete power set respec on one condition.
First I'll remind just why the devs don't want one. The answer is because it would be too easy to start out with a power set that is easy at the lower levels and hard at the middle levels and then respec into one that is hard lower and easy middle once you have passed the balance point.
Now here is what I would like to see. A complete power respec trial that lets you choose the new power sets but makes you start over at level 1. Then once you have reached the level that you did the respec you could create a secondary build with the original power sets. I would set the minimum level for the respec at about 30. So if you did the respec at 30 then once you had reached 30 again in the new build you would be able to switch back and forth between the two builds and powersets all the way to 50.
Don't count your weasels before they pop dink!

I dont think anyone is suggesting have TWO different primary/secondaries on the same character.
In my case, I wish I could change my secondary from Energy to Electric Melee. I dont want Energy melee anymore. At all.
But, meh, I dont really see it happening anytime soon, if ever. So re-roll it is.
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

any idea in the form of getting new primary/secondaries other then rolling a new toon should be automatically deleted and not be let out into the forums. it is not a good idea at all.

Giant man/Ant man
That sort of thing. The only difference between my version and rolling alts is that you can keep the same name.

The sole reason I like the two build idea is for concept characters. For instance like Batman. He is normally the Dark Knight but there have been a couple times he has used power armor. Or Iron man. Yes his basic suit concept has always been the same but over the course of his existence he has built suits so radically different that they could only be conceived in CoH as different power sets.

My first 50 was a energy/fire blaster. I dont think I could come up with a worse combo. At the time, it looked neat. Some where in the mid 30's I realized it was a screw up. I have since rerolled and leveled 6 other blasters to 50.While I rarely play my first 50, I dont think respecing her is the answer. Each 50 has a different feel and a different play. You need to learn that playstyle. Sure, you could figure it out in short order, but where is the fun in that?
Lots of 50's yada yada. still finding fun things to do.

You are in a maze of twisty little passages
In that case you might as well just roll a new character.

So, in my case, instead of having to roll from 1-50 all over again, I could simply change my Secondary from Energy Melee to Electric Melee. Because when I rolled the character, Energy Melee was a set that I worked well with. After the last set of changes, it no longer feels like the original characte I rolled which, understandably I would assume, riles me somewhat. It feels like someone did a quick switch and, while I'm still the same person I now have someone elses right leg.

Or, more specifically, the same as being level-boosted on Test. I've seen this for Dual Blades, I've seen it for Dual Pistols and both times I used a secondary I'd played before. In the end, I simply saw no point to having a set at 50 if I didn't play it all the way to 50.

Well, it's your call, really, but again, this is not something I'd use even if it were permitted to me. Maybe you spend most of your time playing over your 50s, I don't know, but to me part of the fun is seeing the set evolve with new powers and new slots.

I know that the EM changes were made for balance. But they still feel, for me anyhow, like they gutted the set for Tanks. Mediocre AoE damage, Mediocre ST damage that actually hits before someones killed the target anyway.
Possibly because nearly every other tanker secondary outperforms it? At least without some mass IO investment. (Again, this is purely based on opinion and own observations)

Not only that, but they appear to have changed the requirements for the Watchman Accolade. I managed to get it after 2 Rikti invasions on the character I rolled a week ago. Was surprised to say the least.
