Firstly, it works perfectly for tens of thousands of other people, so it's not something wrong with the game.
The most likely explanation is that something on your computer is blocking it. Do you have a software firewall installed, for example?
Another possibility is that something on your network is blocking it. Are you trying to play from university housing? They often block various ports.

I have Norton Anti virus. I have set the firewall to allow City of Heroes and all to do with it.
I am using a Wi-Fi connection in a basement apartment. I'm sure what else you need to figure it out.

I just downloaded the 14 day trial and was interested in trying out the game. When I try to log onto the Servers. It Says Can't connect to DBserver. I have tried this on every server many different times. Tried restarting the game many times and everything. I have Spent over a hour doing this. I was considering purchasing the game, but It seems not to work. Can anyone help out?
