I was in sirens the otehr day and almost fell out laughing when the fcers were proclaiming earth assault to be the up and coming fotm dom set. It may be the single worst pvp set in the game, and that is saying something. What few things it has(powerboost and melee) other sets have and do better(nrg and elec). Icy is even better than it and icy is in desperate need of some love since pvp 2.0.

LOL, ya....... I guess i should have taken a closer look at the set as a whole. I just saw hurl and siemic smash, plus just wanting to just build one cause its "new", and thought ehh, maybe it would be decent. Like the troller epic ish. Thanks for the honest replies guys. I guess I will be looking into /elec instead. Any thoughts on a plant/elec/mu? I am sure there are better combos I could choose, I just try to avoid building the same powersets twice if I can.
I think other than /icy it would appear that /earth has the lowest damage in pvp, but at least ice has -rech and can hit targets that are in the air and be used while in the air. It looks like /elec, /nrg, and /fire all blow it out of the water before even using bu, or fe.
/elec/mu should do well enough. You have hold and confuse as two separate mezzes as plant so it will probably do ok too. If you hit sirens I think /elec is probably the go to set now that you have access to thunderstrike there.
I don't think plant is the best primary, but you gotta get it leveled up to pvp and plant levels very well. If you are just getting pl'd I'd probably consider mind, or fire, and while rare I think a case can even be made for grav.

Next to any kind of toon can not only be decent but actually good in pvp.
Go with the RP, learn how to use it, it's strengths/weaknesses and you'll be fine. It can be just as nice as others, but a bit more work and has different tactics. Maybe you need to use TP foe to use seismic smash and trap them in mud pots, who knows, i don't have experience with it yet but unless it's as laughable as AR for cors i'm sure anybody could pull it off with enough time and effort.

Playing a subpar set decent just means if you played a better set with the same practice you would be doing better. You should delete your regin and only play dark armor and rp it. It will make you better, amirite?
