They're the reverse tanlines from the garters she used to wear to hold up her stockings until she finally mastered the superpower of keeping them up mentally.

Which must be quite the taxing chore assuming so many young heroes are trying to do just the opposite mentally.

THE COH/V MOVIE WILL NOT HAVE MUSICAL SECTIONS.

I'll be damned if I'm going to watch a Statesman / Lord Recluse duet and dance number.

My mother would blast The Sound of Music records while cleaning the house as I grew up. Musicals make me queasy.

Plus, Day wouldn't sing in anything if Autotune hadn't been invented yet!

They couldn't cast Blue Steel.

If they had to cast Blue Steel they could use Chuck Norris. Very fitting. *Nods*

I dunno, I think it'd be pretty amusing

No offense, but I'd hate to have to live up to the way the men are drawn either. All that bulging - it'd chaff.

I don't know with a catchy tune and a chorus line.... picturing "Robin Hood, Men in Tights", only... grittier.

I think it'd work well if they did it in X1999 style. I.E. Statesman is singing to one of the other members of the Freedom Phalanx that just got beat up, and while he's down on his knees over the body, Scirroco just walks up to him and stabs him in the back, and pushes States' body on top of the other body.

Unfortunately, Scirroco is too emo to take advantage of that oppertunity (he's the ONLY villain in Arachnos that'd let them finish).

I think that this song would be great for Statesman/Lord Recluse, with some obvious lyrical adaptations. It'd probably work best set just after they went their separate ways after gaining powers, which the movie would of course cover.

I don't know... considering some of the songs that got recommended here, we might get a couple of good production numbers... go for the whole STREETS OF FIRE thing. Or not.

However, COH: THE MOVIE would HAVE to be one of those films that has both a score and a soundtrack. Tossup on who would do the score - my top three votes would be Hans Zimmer (or hell, almost anyone from Remote Control Studios), Danny Elfman, and (as it's 7am, the name escapes me) the guy who did the score to IRON MAN.

Clicking on the linked image above will take you off the City of Heroes site. However, the guides will be linked back here.

Are people calling Swan fat now, or is there a joke I'm missing?

Her legs look more like muscle than fat, anyway. Some people cannot afford super-strength without muscles ruining their looks.

Edit: Whoops forgot there's a second page when I typed this

Well, the Rikti might not be Xenu and the Thetans (that still sounds like a band name), but at least he'd finally have aliens to fight...

Michael Giacchino might be another good choice. Composer for Lost, Alias, The Incredibles, Star Trek, and Cloverfield as well as several game scores (Black, Mercenaries). He's definitely got the versatility.

First let me emphasize I love this game. That said, I can't see the point in making a City of Heroes movie. It seems to me that the two main reasons you'd make a film is either that it has a compelling story or it has a built-in fanbase that you want to cash in on. The fanbase of CoH is decent in terms of being a profitable MMO but might as well be nonexistent in Hollywood terms. Interview 100 random folks and the odds will be extremely high that none of them have heard of CoH. Contrast that to WoW that has millions of fans. I could see Uwe Boll hired on to do a WoW movie.

In terms of story, the CoH canon is certainly pretty rich as a game world setting but nothing special in terms of creating a screenplay. I just fail to see why anyone would consider a CoH movie a potentially profitable venture.
