Unhandled page fault crash
I'd bet on the issue being Tiger. The Trial version is the same software as the full version, there are just limits on your account. Pony up the cash for Leopard!
The guide in my signature has some suggestions for smoother gameplay and less crashes - but they might not work if you're using Tiger.

Instead of paying for Tiger I'd wait and pay for Snow Leopard. It means you've got to wait a little longer before you can play, but it's a better buy at this point. I believe it's supposed to come out next month (I could be wrong though).
As at the Apple Store for sure (or the online one) but usually if you purchase Leopard close to the Snow Leopard release you get the upgrade for free. At least that's how it used to work.

Your link to your guide is broken.
New forum broke it. It's fixed now (except the boot camp guide is missing).

I'm using the trial version of City of Heroes with my mac osx tiger. I know its not supported but I wanted to check out the trial before I bought the game in case it didn't work. I can play for a little bit, but then I get an Unhandled page fault error with strings of numbers that causes the game to crash. It pops up so fast I can't screenshot it. The game then minimizes and comes back, the sound stuck on a loop with a black screen. The only way I can clear it is by hitting enter which sometimes prompts a debug to run and verify the files when I open the game again. It usually doesn't happen until I'm actually in the game, but it has happened on the character creator screen once.
I did have a problem installing it twice. It installed fine then took almost 6 hours to verify everything. I don't remember it having to do that when I played a few years ago (on a pc)
I was wondering if it was maybe a bug with the trial version or if theres something I can do to run the game that doesn't involve buying Leopard (as much as I wish I could afford to) I have a pretty crappy wireless connection and someone told me it might be that. Any thoughts? Its running on a Macbook Pro.
