Dark Melee Expert Needed

Hi, i have my Dark Melee/Super Reflexes Scrapper at lvl49 (hopefully hit 50 today ) and im basically just trying to round off my build before i move on to something else and i have a couple of questions regarding two of the powers in particular.

1.When slotting damage enhancements into Soul Drain does that just enhance the damage that the AoE does to the targets it hits when you execute the power or does it increase the buff you get from the power aswell in terms of your damage output? ( At the moment i have 1xAcc/3xRechg lvl50 IOs slotted. I did have 2xDmg aswell, but i spec'd them out and put them to use elsewhere, now im wondering if this was a good idea...)

2.Does Midnight Grasp continue to do damage aslong as the immobilzation effect is active? What im getting at here is, put simply- Can i increase the duration of the DoT by slotting Immobilization enhancements? (At the moment i have 1xAcc/2xDmg lvl50 IOs slotted. I plan on sticking a recharge in it when i hit 50 and im trying to decide if its worth sticking in an immobilization aswell..)

I actually have 1 more question regarding Super Reflexes...so, while your here .....

3. I have noticed that when Elude drops and my end crashes it does not always knock my toggles off immediatly, sometimes there is a delay of 5-10 secs (approx) which allows me to gobble CaB's, hit Dark Consumption and carrying on kicking [censored] without the frustration of bieng de-toggled- Ace! So what i want to know is... What causes this delay effect? And is it something that i can control and use to my advantage?

Just the damage the AOE does. There's no way to increase the damage buff it gives you, the damage buff is purely based on how many people you hit with it.

No, the damage is set to do 10 ticks of damage. Changing how long the Immob lasts doesn't affect this at all, there's no way to get additional ticks of damage from the power. I'd stick a Dam/Recharge IO in there to ensure the damage is enhanced out to ED levels maybe?

Tbh the best slotting you can have for Soul Drain on IO's is 2xacc and 3xrchg since, as Carnifax said you can't lost the damage buff or the ToHitBuff. Regarding Midnight Grasp, 3 slots on it and planning to add immobilization is a waste on your most damaging ST attack, a sensible slotting would be 2xacc - 1xrchg and 3xdmg (If you're running Focused Accuracy leave both attacks with just 1xacc and toss more recharge on Midnight Grasp and some endrdx on Soul Drain or use that spare slot somewhere else).

Regarding the delay on Elude's crash, never noticed it when I had Elude on my DM/SRs, but it's been ages since I respecced it out, although I doubt you can control it, it seems it is due to an external buff or could also be because of the performance shifter chance for +end (if you have it equipped) stacking or maybe another +recovery unique such as Numina or Miracle stacking.

Thanks for your quick replies fellas. Thats good news for me on both the sould drain and midnight grasp fronts. Thought i was gonna need more slots that i dont have. I am running focused acc at the moment, hence 1 acc slot. Now i know that slotting immobs into midnight grasp wont increase the dmg that idea is out. Thx agin for your help, will prolly respec this aft. May post my full build here before hand for some more ideas, if you'd be so kind as to take a look at it.

Actually you can enhance the +tht buff, but it's probably not worth it in your case unless you plan to Frankenslot for IO set bonuses.

I've noticed this "bug" or whatever you want to call it with god modes crashing but toggles not dropping. My guess is that you simply get a tick of end at the exact same moment the crash happens, thus leaving you with ~2.5 end for the toggles to gobble before you actually run out of end.

Hmmmm.

As said above, you can't enhance the +dmg of Soul drain, you can however enhance the +tohit or use +tohit sets in there.
On one of my builds I've got Adjusted targeting tohit/rechrg, Adjusted targeting end/rechrg &amp; Adjusted targeting tohit/rechrg/end. This is mainly for the set bonus's. I
've also used two Membrane Exposures on their own. But the above type of slotting only works if you have a lot of +tohit from foc acc or set bonus's, otherwise you'll need to add an acc to make sure.

As for Midnight Grasp, On one build, I've gone for 5 hetcomb's and an acc/dmg/rechrg. On a cheaper one it's 5 crushing impacts and an acc/dmg HO. I have been considering slotting 4 mako's and 2 dampened spirits for the +5% dmg buff.
The trouble is the set bonus for having two of the mele sets slotted is rubbish. where on a rnaged or aoe attack you can get some good bonus's but slott 2 of 3 different sets, it doesn't apply that much to mele attacks as it's normall after 3 things start getting useful.

As for the elude crash, doesn't it just give -1 end? So if you have atlas med and a few set bonus's you will have more than 1 end. For example my DM/DA build has 119 base end (or 1.19 as the game sees it) So for him -1 end would still leave the .19 left or 19 endurance.
